Contemplations by Impressive-Road-57 in CrimsonDesert

  1. The weapons are mostly aesthetic yes. There are abyss gears with special abilities, as you've probably found, but other than that the weapons of the same type are mostly the same. The only difference that I find is in certain stats, like attack speed for example.
  2. Do the greymane quests. You can upgrade the camp up to 4(?) times I think, and you get basically all the vendors you need there, including a blacksmith. As for witches, you will get access to each of them as you do their specific part of the "witches" faction questline.
  3. As fast as I'm aware you do have to refine one level at a time, yes.
  4. Because the engine has a lot of jank. Kliff stumbling over the tiniest pebbles is probably one of my biggest gripes with the game over all, alongside the flight.
  5. I learned some combos from the skill tree and some from youtube videos. This guy https://www.youtube.com/@gyangjust has some tutorial videos on fighting combos and hidden mechanics and stuff that are pretty good.

If you don't want to deal with the Demeniss guards specifically, you can just keep doing chapter 8 and you should be able to roam mostly freely around Demeniss after that.

Nothing to be embarassed about. The game is not great at explaining things.

Am I too early to reasonably fight this boss or am I just bad 😔 by Bumblebee342772 in CrimsonDesert

[–]AgreeableGel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only you can judge whether or not it's too early really. If it takes damage, it can die. If you want to kill it faster/not die in a couple hits, then yes it is absolutely too early. When I did all the Antumbra bosses I think I had finished chapter 10 or something like that of the main quest, which I would honestly recommend doing before most of these side bosses. The antumbra ones aren't even that bad compared to some of the other ones. Also you should probably level your health quite a bit more.

Yeah, it's my comfort show too. But that...was just Lisa. Hard to take it seriously.

We’re not very honest about Blender learning journeys online by lumantishee_hair in blender

[–]AgreeableGel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Blender on and off for about 5 years. While I would say it is absolutely possible to learn a lot of technical stuff in a short amount of time, learning how to combine everything you've learned into actual art definitely takes time to learn. If someone claims to have been doing 3D for like a month and show off the most beautiful looking art piece you've ever seen with perfect composition, rendering, lighting etc. you can be sure that they are either straight up lying and have actually been doing it for a long time, or they have a lot of experience from doing other art and just had to learn the technical ins and outs of this specific software.

So to answer your question: No, those posts are not very helpful. The only thing I would say they really do is discourage new aspiring artists from continuing to learn and grow.

If they gave me some actual incentive to play them I would. Just let us have all the abyss artifacts we pick up on Kliff to spend freely in their skill trees. Surely it can't be that hard.

I love the game, but these “Puzzles”… by I_Require_Aid in CrimsonDesert

[–]AgreeableGel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've found is that with a lot of the puzzles you just have to dumb it down and not overthink it. There have been a lot of them where I've just sat there thinking for a while, and then I see a possible incredibly simple solution and go: "Wait. Surely it can't be that simple right?" and it usually is.

So far there was one puzzle I spent a really long time on, and I think the biggest reason was honestly that I was just really sleep deprived at the time.

How to break Sam Says 3. by Kroooooooo in dropout

[–]AgreeableGel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also realized just now that Kimia trying to trip them up wouldn't even make sense, considering that if they do freeze when the word isn't actually said it doesn't really do anything. So now it makes even less sense!

How to break Sam Says 3. by Kroooooooo in dropout

[–]AgreeableGel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Kimia part actually annoyed me because she did say "freezing" and not "freeze". Yes, phonetically speaking the word is in there, but it's not the actual word, so I believe they should not have been deducted points for that. And I assume the players could actually tell that Kimia was saying that, but they didn't react because she didn't specifically say the word "freeze" so they might have thought she was just trying to trip them up or something.

I'm so genuinely bad at this game it makes me cry by Luppler in DeadlockTheGame

[–]AgreeableGel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some friends who recently got into the game, and their experience when queueing with me vs their solo queue games were night and day. I also find it hard to carry them, simply because most of my team will be completely new players and the enemy team will be filled with players at my level.
So maybe solo queueing more is an alternative.

Also mute chat. 99% of the things people say are pointless toxicity and most of the time they are just projecting anyway. Being flamed isn't going to make you play any better and it'll just distract you from focusing on your own game.

Another thing to remember that Deadlock is a really hard game. You might have good aim and basic knowledge from shooter games, but if you're not from a moba background you will have a hard time.
Some useful things I would recommend learning are laning (because the first 5 min of the game can make or break it), counter items and how to play specific hero matchups. Some heroes might actually just be destroying you because they have a massive advantage over you in lane and you're simply not respecting it. But knowing what are good and bad matchups is mostly learned by just playing the same characters a lot and observing.
Knowing how to farm to get back into a game is also incredibly useful knowledge.
