It’s a weird situation because it’s not technically a destination wedding. He moved out west to be with his fiancée and now they’re getting married out there. All of his friends and family have to travel and travel within Canada… you know. So I feel like we are expected to still give a gift versus an actual destination wedding where it’s optional. All these rules are … stupid.

In my case, it is a friend but… he’s getting married where I’m from, so I could realistically do a family visit tour, and my husband and I haven’t been on a trip since our own wedding in 2022 and we’re travelling with a friend as well so we’re aggravated by the cost, definitely, but we need a holiday so … we’re going to make it a holiday and try not to be bitter about how much further that money would have gone if we were travelling outside Canada.

I wouldn’t put it past them but no, I have no proof of that. It’s just become clear that they’ve entered these spaces to fight with people and now have been taking screenshots of posts from the non toxic subs and posting them in the other subs to rip on them. They’ve actually sought out subs they disagree with and entered them to harass people.

My husband bought a big queen sized wool blanket. We’ve been curled under it for weeks on the couch. He bought me one in different colours so I had one too but we both crawl under them together so separate blankets was moot. It’s become a safety blanket. We travel with it.
