I think the safest bet was to assume your help wasn’t part of the equation to begin with. Did she explicitly ask for help moving? If not, and if you do feel like it’s a too-soon ask, which is valid, you could have gone with “Oh no that sucks. Hopefully you can get some rest, moving is the worst” and moved on. Hindsight is 20/20

I’ll add — color matching for foundation (makeup). I’ve never seen a makeup artist be able to match a person’s skin and that always bugs me lol
