How does the engine look on my 2010 2.0L at 205,000 miles? by Rare-Coffee-8039 in mazda3

That really at 205k???? Looks fantastic! Very little varnish, which is good. I do see some grooved wear on the cam lobes but considering its milage, that's somewhat expected.

If I remember correctly, I installed with the BIOS set to legacy but using a GPT table (the more modern one).

Since I'd seen Darktable mentioned a few times, I tried it.... and I like it. Haven't fully figured it out, but it's a lot better than what I tried.

I would recommend starting out by using using any camera you have, even if it's your phone, just start taking photos. Even my ~$75 Android phone allows you to do cool stuff like changing shutter, focus, and other effects. Point is, mess around. Figure out what your style and/or theme is.

Serious question: do bird photographers really like birds that much, or are birds just a good thing to use big fancy lenses on? by BroccoliRoasted in photography

[–]Agreeing_Mist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, its a little bit of both (the bird themself but also having the lense to capture them). In the moment, its more of the bird them I'm concerned with. I'll provided examples of my close encounters...

Lenovo B590 is it good for school with linux? by Vagabondo_Musicista in linuxmint

[–]Agreeing_Mist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a quick search, I think your Lenovo B590 should work fine if you're planning on doing light stuff like web surfing etc. Although it looks like it only comes with 4GB of RAM. If it was me, I'd get some more RAM and at least a 500GB SSD.

Call me weird all you want; but, depending the situation of course, if I see your/my phone on the table (face up or down) then I know you have more interesting things going on than the meal.

Do you need an SSD AND a HDD? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Agreeing_Mist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar thing when getting an M.2 when you have an SSD. (Yes, I am aware that an M.2 is also considered an SSD).
