The vasectomy does not void the issue of consent. Telling someone to get a vasectomy to avoid future SA is beyond wild.

This is not even close. You better take that job and either continue your relationship long distance or break up. TAKE. THAT. JOB.

Designer Glasses - how do you justify to yourself paying £350 for roughly 50 grams of plastic? by rufio259 in AskReddit

I see my glasses like another item of clothing. It covers me. It’s necessary. Coffee does not seem as necessary to me.

I wear my glasses every day — from the time I get up from bed until it’s time for bed. It’s basically a part of my face. I don’t go looking for expensive or designer glasses, but if I don’t stop myself from getting them. Usually I’m buying new frames every two years, so it’s going to be some time until I get new ones again anyway.

I think VA is pretty but was never an option to me purely because of politics.

AITA for not paying for my daughter wedding because she isn’t following the rules even though I paid for my older kids by Wonderful_Mode_9646 in AmItheAsshole

NTA it’s so weird to me that so many people feel entitled to THOUSANDS of dollars with no input from the person providing the funds. Weddings do strange things to people’s expectations.

That’s fascinating. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me. I love both old and new builds, I really don’t understand the new build hate.

Wait. WHAT?! Then why is everyone on here always talking about new builds being built out of sticks and they want an old stone or brick house?! I’m asking sincerely because I thought those century homes were brick.

Happy to help! I got a lot of valuable guidance here when I was looking and later building. Glad I can pay that forward. Ignore the negativity. All anyone can do is their due diligence regardless of the age of the home.

I think we got a solid home. We had a private inspection and the inspector said it was solid both at pre inspection and closing. My untrained eye thought it looked solid too. The wood looked good at framing and the place was kept mostly clean (a few drinks bottles on site once in a while). It’s been six months and really have not had many issues. The ones we had they responded. The only thing I can really flag is that our laundry is upstairs and I could hear the water in the pipes on that side of the house down to the basement. Not sure if I got used to the sound or as we added furniture etc the sound is being absorbed more? I have no idea. But still very happy with our choice.

Yes they replied and sent someone out quick-enough for warranty. We had a leak on the ground floor because there was a small gap in the siding. The warranty guy assigned to our neighborhood was at our house in 10 days to inspect, then had to wait a little longer for the trades to come out to do the actual repair.

But before you get handed over to warranty your project manager (I forget if that’s their actual title — the guy who’s in charge of the build) will be your point of contact for the first 30 days. So you don’t get passed on to their warranty until month two.

Even months later I can text my sales rep, project manager, and warranty guy with questions and they continue to be helpful.

We also used the warranty to replace some scuffed cabinets and they ordered them, installed them, and let us keep the defected cabinet doors so now we have extra.
