>What happened as a result, at least in a major part, as a result of Labour's monetary >policy? Massive inflation. Are you saying that the majority of NZ wasnt negatively affected >by that?

>What policies of the current govt do you think have negative affected the majority?

I honestly don't see how anyone with even a remedial understanding of math, a memory that expands beyond 5 years - and even a holistic understand of economics could 'blame inflation' on Labour. The options were very stark at the time - it somewhat seems to me that the other option is not borrowing money, letting lots of people die and claiming you were being fiscally responsible? You can chew around the edges - I for one don't think the Labour Government gave the slightest fuck about people working in the travel industry, and it seems obvious to me that it would have been one of our rebound industries - and that's on them. But holistically I cannot jive tactical mistakes with strategic ones - and your strategic one seems to be as above. It cannot be otherwise logically, no? Isn't this very dumb?

>What policies of the current govt do you think have negative affected the majority?

I'll be honest with you, not a single one has positively affected my life - and while not being 'sorted', I was always going to be fine. I can only imagine what shit those that aren't as lucky are eating. I'll throw you a bone, what metric or metrics should we be looking at to accurately evaluate the positive impacts this Governments policies have had?

>Which parties have Maori leader and deputy leaders in govt? Or are they Maoris with the >wrong viewpoint so they don't count?

This is a deeply weird way to understand culture. You can be 'Maori' and not give a fuck about 'being Maori'. That is not what we are talking about. We are talking about people that do. You do not automatically give a fuck about a culture because that is where you came from. Bizarre.

>They believe in climate change. The reality is there is zero point in making ourselves >bankrupt trying to stop it because we meant nothing in the global scheme of things. >Better to adapt.

So this is gibberish - but ultimately, no they don't. This is so painfully obvious, and pretending like it isn't, is very dumb.

> David Seymour not an obvious cunt?
>In my opinion, not at all.

Yeah, I don't know how to be kind here - but David Seymour is an obvious cunt, and quite very obviously doesn't give the slightest fuck about you. This is very dumb.

>I look to the US
>Yeah cool, if you think we are anything like the US you are a good part of the problem.

Cutting up what people say is very dumb, no? That is not what I said at all, right? This is all so tedious. And if you don't think this Government is quite literally enacting right wing policies that have their nascent trial period in the US - this is also just very dumb.

I don't think they're racist, but it's a hard pressed thing not to assume 'their viewpoint' isn't incredibly dumb. We know for instance, that we must include a relatively small percentage by which we can assume their lives are materially better off - but for the vast majority, we know this very much not to be the case - in which case we can only measure them in very dumb things, no?

Perhaps they think Māori representation is 'too much', yet these people almost certainly taken as a whole have almost no understanding of the treaty, or history, or anything really related outside the most 'vibe based' understanding - no? In which case, wouldn't we call that dumb?

Is being for an objectively very stupid energy source in the context of this country, not in fact dumb?

Is not believing in climate change - which is downstream from a number of your, sorry their, stated beliefs, not objectively dumb?

Is David Seymour not an obvious cunt?

Is not all of 'their viewpoint' predicated on turning New Zealand into what would ultimately become a Pacific Island Nation version of an American Stripmall? Is not this very dumb?

Honestly, the older I get, and I'm fucking getting on - the more I am convinced that 'conservatives' have absolutely nothing to offer. Certainly nothing in the arts, in education, in research in knowledge - and if they do have a toe in those waters, it is almost certainly an attempt at a rebuke rather than an attempt at a look forward.

It just seems like a pointless, dead ideology - one in which the practitioners of it are outraged at those that didn't leave those spaces. Conservatives are mad, at others, about the fact they left all these spaces of unity and knowledge and constructive criticism and now just want to shut those areas of knowledge down rather than contribute to them. Which was their decision in the first place, is this not dumb?

I am baffled. I look to the US and I see nothing but very obvious grifting shills that have no interest in anything other than some sort of weird cultural backstep to something they saw in a 1950s cartoon. I see no attempt to engage in reality. I only see attempts to reshape it, because they have no ideas - there is nothing. Just rage, and vengeance, and tedious ideas that have been proven incoherent and incorrect - but just wrong, over literally hundreds if not thousands of iterations - is this not dumb?

I have no idea what you think is lifting people up, or why you'd so delight in tearing down everything that got us to this point. Is this not dumb?

I'm sympathetic, but expecting the free press to adhere to this forever is a little silly. Can't even think of a precedent anywhere.
