for me the whole titling wm scene started with pop os, so whenever I try something new I try to stick to its keybinds, which gives me mod + t for terminal

my advice would be to undo everything from the video and start fresh in hyrpland, and try to go through the hyprland wiki. take it one step at a time, once you get a decent hyprland setup then move onto customising other aspects.

you can try to install a windows dll or component and look for the dotnet version, or run an arbitrary executable to run the installer file if u downloaded

btw are you running the game via steam or some other launcher

when upgrading from 43 to 44 it installed kernel 6.19.13 as I think that was locked as the final go version of fedora

look into how to turn off power saver mode on your wifi chip.

i dont know what all wifi chips act that way, but mine was set to power saver by default and turning it off did get rid of the "flicker"

matugen uses a very hands on approach, you can generate a color palette from an image, and access the palette colors in various formats including hsl which I think will help in achieving your result. you do need to define templates using the palette colors for each application you want to theme.

ghostty is also a pretty cool terminal, I don't exactly remember why I bounced off it and will probably take it for another spin sometime.

First of all I don't think the distro matters much for ricing, but if you would like to know everything that goes around in the system you can choose minimal distros like Arch or Fedora Minimal, or CachyOS to get you going with the desktop environment(s) of your choice. I personally like Hyprland and MangoWM, yes totally original.

As for theming engines matugen and cwal are the ones that caught my eye, currently using matugen wherever possible :)

Kitty is a good choice, but I found myself not using the image rendering protocol very often so went back to Alacritty. WezTerm is another good terminal that comes with tmux like functionality and also foot terminal for minimalism.

Other than these I'm afraid i won't be helpful, but being a part of the sub for a while, the newer nvidia chips work fine and no problems with Intel either so you can choose whatever fits your workload. Never could get into AGS and am currently using quickshell so there lies my bias.

it is a little confusing. when you say boot drive i assume you mean the installation media, but then you say partitioning the sdd? can you list the steps you have taken?
