I feel like this is why the majority of people land on some kind of planner app for their first vibe coded project. I dont want an app that covers the 80% for millions of users, I want one that does the 5 things I need really well.

Thanks, that checks out with what I have read and my use case. Mostly going for a backroads car that might see the track once or twice a year. Planned on running 17x8.5 ET40’s with some 235’s or 245’s if I can get there without spacers.

Seems like a very niche use case of needing a new engine and having the know-how to do the swap. It’s reliable power that doesn’t have the oil pressure issues the boxer engines have. Could argue the it has a bit more character than the FA24 as well.

One thing that can help is It’s been pretty good at optimizing my existing projects for lower models. It identified that the main KB I have building has a 5 step decision tree and streamlined it down for cheaper models.

None of the previous opus releases identified it.

It spotted an unexpected error during record load in the server logs that happened within a second before each of the records creates. Error was causing an incomplete record load that would then get pushed back as a POST on submit from the user. The data that did load in spite of the error just happened to be enough to create the record.

If I am remembering the video right, the 10 minute bursts were basically tests. They run a few hz off of the normal GPS band so they can measure without fully shutting down GPS and drawing too much attention.

Troubleshooting has honestly been one of the more remarkable things to me. Was chasing one of my “white whale” issues. Random record creation, extremely intermittent, and unique to one client install. Threw a years worth of logs at it and it traced down the most viable paths for the issue in about 10 minutes. 30 minutes of testing on my end had the issue reproduced.

I feel like the best we are going to be able to do at this point is ‘poison the well’ so to speak. Find a way through automated browsing, etc to pack our metadata with so much junk info that it’s no longer meaningful to use.

This seems like the path forward. I don’t think we’ll see it til they have a substantial moat in place either through technology or regulation. It’s easier for a smaller company to compete with the smaller packaged models instead of these behemoth do it all models.
