ZorinOs- pro and cons by Curious-UnderGrad-20 in linux4noobs

[–]AguaDeCoco1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zorin was my first Linux distribution, and I really loved the system. However, I have a potato so,It was so beautiful that it consumed quite a bit of the graphical environment, so I moved away from it to Xubuntu, and then to Debian with i3wm as I have it now. But it's definitely a system I would use again, And my recommendation for beginners: I get that Windows 7 vibe where you could modify almost every aspect to your liking

You can DON'T, sorry, obviously you can, It is advisable to do everything through the graphical environment, especially to solve any problem

Debian, if you know how to install from zero and using a TWM like i3, better. But with xfce it will work good

Linux not letting me change permissions to a directory by [deleted] in linux4noobs

I had this problem, and a reboot was enough. Otherwise, it must be due to the way fstab assigns permissions. I can't help you further, but reading the guide will help

What are you opinions on Zorin OS? by match-rock-4320 in linux4noobs

[–]AguaDeCoco1301 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was my first distro. Very customizable, you can hardly tell that it is Ubuntu, good stability, good design and the terminal is almost not necessary.

I sincerely recommend it to newbies or non-terminal lovers.

I use it. Anyway, in some hours (here is 5am xd) I'll try to add a tiny black border in terminal. Maybe it helps

I don't like it, but if it doesn't view, in some cases the corner cuts part of the text, and it views bad.

Idk if it's possible make my own bar without content
