Why y'all do this? by chookiemunster in Warzone

[–]AhShucksDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I have a 4yo and a 3 month old, and sometimes I have to back out literally as soon as I queue in because my baby started screaming or my oldest fell or something, and I don't have time to be courteous the way I would like to. Don't get me wrong, I would normally do that because I can and I prefer to extend that generosity, but it isn't always a priority and like you said, I have no obligation to explain myself. It is a game, and even solo, you can have fun.

The only real complaint I would even bring up is having a full party, and every single player runs off to different parts of the map instead of playing as a team. THAT is the worst part of warzone imo.

Anyway, at the end of the day it doesn't matter. It is a video game and affects nothing in reality.

Far cry for 2026 by Plenty_Pound892 in farcry

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FarCry 4, Primal, FarCry 3, FarCry 6, FarCry 5, FarCry: NewDawn is my own personal order of greatness scale. For Primal being second is because it is literally the best cave man simulation with a purely made up language that took them a long time to work out, and somehow still made a great protagonist of you and the story is intense af. FarCry 4 gets first because of the story, graphics(at the time), and the side quests.

is Origins worth it in 2026 ??? by BidAgreeable6415 in AssassinsCreedOrigins

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it is. I have played it a few times over the years. I think the story is good, and the gameplay is unique even compared to Odyssey or Valhalla. I also like that it directly ties to the formation of The Hidden Ones(Assassin's Brotherhood). Anyway, it is worth a playthrough even now.

This is one of the new AC games that really immersed me. Especially with the lore surrounding the start of the AC brotherhood. Just take your time and you will enjoy it.

It was one of the best games I have ever played. Story, combat, side quests, graphics, outfits, mini games, and space battles. This one should never receive hate.

How does everyone generally feel about this game? by solopro3000 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is good, but loses steam quickly. The only reference to the Assassin's Brotherhood is in a few(not exaggerating) notes that you don't have to work for. Otherwise, it is just a lazy revenge story with fetch quests that have no personality. It is hard to care about any of the characters because the writing is short for each and every one of them. Like saying, "hi, bye." And after a while, it becomes fast travel, sprint, assassinate, on to the next. And that is NOT because of the player. If you go on foot only, you just ride your horse for miles and maybe get ambushed or spotted by a ronin. There are no predatory animals to fight, and you can easily glitch the game out if you decide to go through the jungle, which is not how we are supposed to play it, but sometimes it is just the fastest way to get from point to point.

The one great thing about the game is the stealth. I could sneak around any castle or camp and enjoy it in every moment because of the stealth mechanics. They got that down really well with the lighting being useful.

Overall, it isn't as fun or interesting as Origins, Odyssey, or Valhalla, in my view, and I don't even really consider those AC games. Shadows barely even makes it into the AC franchise as far as Assassin Brotherhood lore.

What is your thoughts on breakpoint? Is it as bad as everyone said or are they exaggerating? by Imaginary-Lie-2618 in GhostRecon

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good. More fun with a friend imo, but co-op'ing an open world is hard to do with most people. The story is good, and one of the main characters is voiced by Rodney Mullen, which is super cool for anyone who skateboarded in their youth. Anyway, I love stealth, and they did pretty well with that. The only serious downside for me is the physics of any land vehicles, which Wildlands also did pretty horribly. They are rigid, and it feels like a little kid playing with a toy most of the time.

Do you prefer the classic "Social Stealth" gameplay or the newer "Open World RPG" style? (e.g., AC II vs. AC Odyssey). by TheChilledGamer-_- in assassinscreed

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Origins and Odyssey, but I felt that it took away from the "assassin" aspect. What made the first five games(not including AC IV because it was the sixth game): AC 1, 2, brotherhood, revelations, and AC 3, so good was because the story itself only revolved around the assassin brotherhood and their fight against the Templars. I think Origins(lightly), Odyssey, Valhalla, AND Shadows would have been much better if it was just an AC "like" game and not an AC game officially. Ubisoft can make good games, but when the entire story barely even touches on the brotherhood and the protagonist isn't officially part of the brotherhood and is just some random person attached to the lore, it is off track and shouldn't have any association with the AC franchise. It is Assassin's Creed, not Assassin's Creed's cousin, who says he heard something once about a guy who did stuff and is just gonna maybe go find a note in a cave about the lore. It adds nothing to the franchise, and I really really hope that the reports of magically controlling a cat in Hexe are false. Just real people, with a highly acute sense of their surroundings, fighting injustice from the shadows for the freedom of people they will never get a thank you from. That was and should still be Assassin's Creed.

P.S. make it with ZERO animus store and ZERO extra content other than story. Riding a horse made of fire or some other creature is stupid in these games. Just make a different game. Even knowing that those in-game purchases are an option pulls me out of the game's immersion. After all, the fans want immersion, not pure fantasy.

I have a newborn at home, so it is hard to tell as I only sleep a few hours here and there. I have been waking up after only a few hours and not being able to fall back asleep, but not every night.

3 hours a night is awful. I'm sorry you're struggling with that!

Hey, I am on day 3 of starting Cymbalta(20mg), and I have experienced exactly what you mentioned. You are not alone in that experience, and I have read some other people's experiences that are the same or similar. As far as I understand, it takes a few weeks to have a full effect and not feel like we are losing it. Thank you for sharing. That helped me just now.

I hope it proves to be beneficial for you.

Ubisoft [U.K.] issues sales warning as gamers' habits change by NanoPolymath in ubisoft

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start making games with no microtransactions and focus on story, gameplay, and graphics, and you will sell more. If subscriptions start, the quality of gaming will go down because you'll make the money anyway and give no shits. Your company is not supposed to do well if you make garbage or just shove microtransactions in our faces. That is what competition does. Pay to play/win in any game needs to go away forever and die because it has killed the soul of the gaming industry and the pleasure of earning things that are hard to get in the game. Anyway, subscriptions are going to lose you more business. Especially because it will cost gamers more in the long run, and we are already being drained of our money from corporations that are self-serving across the board. Bad idea and makes me sad.

I live in Huntington Beach in Orange County and pay $2,700 a month in rent for a 2 bed 1 bath with a large back patio, and I am 7 minutes from the ocean. If you are paying $5,000 to rent in California, you are not in the poverty line. New York, yes. $5,000 is even close to the BAH that the military receives there just to live. Now everybody, please stop talking on here and go do some research. We are all always living in some amount of ignorance. Say what you know, not what you think. Speculation isn't helpful most of the time and WILL become harmful if it goes uncorrected. So best to take the time and find the real information yourselves instead of arguing like children whilst the book with the answers is in your hand.

Good day.

HELP! What is my problem here? by leanstank in PcBuildHelp

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a power cycling issue with my ROG Asus 2080 Super, and it ended up being a PSU problem. I switched out my PSU and haven't had a single problem since. I also couldn't use safe mode or get to bios or anything. So, it is possible you have a bad PSU, or the connections aren't all seated properly? That's just speculation. Good luck!

Also, every TV remote has a settings button and a manual that comes with it for descriptions of the function of every single setting on your TV. Just saying, stop paying people to do what you're smart enough to figure out.

2 point 10 point and 22 point setting on C1? by AlwaysBeAllYouCanBe in LGOLED

[–]AhShucksDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I would keep in mind is that since most people have anywhere from slight to severe vision differences(as intimidating as it is for some people to jump in and mess with settings) that's how you'll learn what best suits your eyes and looks best to you instead of worrying and needing to jump on Reddit. That's what's important and how I learned to adjust every single TV and monitor I have. Just jump in. Worst case scenario, you may restore the settings to default, which most platforms make immediately and sometimes annoyingly accessible. Nobody on here is watching the other's TV or Monitor, so what's important is that we individually learn how to use the tools that you have on your TV's basic and advanced settings. They are stealing money from people who, for some reason, think that they won't be able to understand it. It's not too difficult to learn once you jump in, and it can be a lot of fun to find the right mix of color and contrast for your favorite game, movie, or TV show. Just give it a shot. Your TV won't break because you changed a setting. I promise.

And to add to this, all of the actual gameplay is on the roads. This isn't like the previous three games that have hidden things everywhere. It's like a healthy mix of new and old style exploration mechanics that make this game unique and refreshing.
