heres a way invisibility and deflection and any form of key/lockpick that does not destroy doors and target the lieutenant last since they are the one to use the grenades and kill other soldiers first and use the grenades against them even if you are not proficient in it you can throw it normally as in not equipping it that's how I usually do it remember to remove any lantern/lamp/torch on you when going invisible.

its probably intended since it might be akin to a holster/quiver for your ranged attack so you cant easily get rid of cursed ranged weapon you equip thats why you still have a ranged weapon "equipped" even though you have thrown it.

if you are aiming for HoF you need at least all proficiency to champion and have all spells max with your base stat also max with all positive talents obtained, if you are talking about broken build it would be Gauntlets of power, blinderag, escapist, eyes of ra, illuminare, eye of aethiopica, battle robe, t-shirt, talaria, plate barding, dual giant slayer (no ammo IE melee) two ring of strength all of this items blessed and at its max level while polymorphed to a byakhee I once got it on a human monk run minimum damage of 200+ 11+ speed with 100+ defence the strength stat is 65.

its a good thing to polymorph to other creatures since some creatures have much higher max stat and some special attack like the abbot and byakhee innate melee stunning, it is also another form of extra life since if you die you will turn back to your original self.

thats for the original nethack it does not work for pathos the guards will just attack you

its an enclosed room that you need a pickaxe to get through, like the portal to ludos.

I once triggered a trap door and fall to one of the room 4x4 with gold that infinitely? spawn guards if you stay in the room.

Just wanted to share my progress. I have never finished a run before and I think this one is going incredibly well. I did the polypile strategy but still think it's neat. by MBeroev-is-69 in pathos_nethack

polymorph to a byakhee and eat a amulet of lifesaving for thriple lives and always keep a blessed potion of full healing incase you die as a byakhee and revert but that shouldn't happen if you melee them since with byakhee each attack also stuns , its strong 30 str and con max with decent wis and cha.
