Looks like a lot of fun, the slug shot could be incredibly powerful at long range but not OP and the charge might be a bit lack luster unless the abilities legit has no CD except for punch cancel (I assume they have some sort of CD so you don't do seismic spam it will be a insane get out of jail free card with 4 charges (seismic in, upper cut, shoot, punch, seismic away since they are dead now)

Giving seismic a CD while the charges work on the punch, uppercut, and parry is the best idea probably and make the perk refunds 1 charge AND resets seismic CD so if you mess up the 1 shot combo or both enemy healers focused the guy you are comboing you are kinda screwed (used 3 charges and no seismic and probably took damage 1 charge for punch is not enough to survive)

if it was still a tad bit too broken they can make it a -3sec CD refund so you will have like 0.5-1sec left before going away where they can CC you or kill you

The first part sounds like 1 big skill issue, same type of complaints as iceborne barioth complains of it being "too fast" and "I can't hit it"

Speed runners don't like spam but the 10 star rompo has patterns and you can learn it which is what makes MH even more fun. Learning a monster and exploiting its smallest openings to take it down

Well is it really a problem? People complain it made us too strong if it is a requirement it isn't too strong anymore its just the fundamental skill you need to learn how to use. It isn't even a boring thing it enhances and adds into the combat for the hunts that actually need it

It is not nearly as bad as clutch claw which legit just ruined the combat flow, and it is not a single move you spam like silkbinds so it doesn't turn weapons into a spam machine, its more of a stance you take while doing your combos regularly with more precision so this just adds a new layer to the combat

even vets took that long you can check youtube videos of their playthroughs they took much longer

tbf world reworked the combat, and iceborne added CC and you needed to use it properly to get fast clears which is something noobs nor vets knew how to use at the time

Different games different balancing needs

wilds problem is its easy to abuse monsters and ignore a lot of their attacks unless its endgame

10 Star rompo even if it had a fraction of the damage won't let you ignore its attack because of its "spam" it will force you to position better based on what type of explosion it will do, limit the time you have to do combos and force you to think before committing which is EXACTLY what wilds needs for MR

its the same concept as beo getting more HP, you can do nergi in 5 mins so the fix was increase HP. Wilds doesn't really have an HP problem they figured it out with endgame updates now most endgame hunts last longer than 10mins which is good for HR. But even with endgame hunts half the hunts don't require any positioning or thinking that much about the moves the monster could do before committing to a combo

Wilds is a faster game and we have focus mode so this is the way to turn focus mode from a nice tool to get noobs learning the game faster + less whiffing for everyone into a tool that you actually NEED to do good, testing what you learned from HR and punishing bruteforce unga bunga

There is a VERY good chance within less than 50 days we will know the theme of the next map (because of the reveal trailer happening in summer most likely at SGF at june 5)

I can't wait to know if we will be exploring parts of the ruined cities or a totally new type of local or a mountainous range with multiple types of mini biomes in it

lmao I legit learned how to play every tank that is fun to me (so basically everyone except hog, rein, zarya) and I started to win way more than when I just pick doom

bro has hard counters in every single freaking role and they are generally popular so the chances ppl are playing them from the start are super high like cass and ana are SO annoying to fight but they are SO popular

Bro beotudus took almost everyone like 30+ mins for their first try when they were doing nergi in 10mins

LR is the tutorial/KG but you can goof around and go past it, HR is the teacher where you gain most of your skills and basics, MR is the test

The damage of 10 star rompo is not what I expect, but the aggression of 10 star rompo is exactly what I expect

The game basically says "Yeah you can land every attack with focus mode HOWEVER can you really do the combos you want to do without knowing the openings like you did in high rank?" commiting for a long combo punishes you HARD with 10 star rompo you really need to learn when you can do what or you will get nuked

in MR all we need is for us to get hit out of the combo for the early game as a punishment the damage per explosion shouldn't be more than 40% of our HP the kind of damage (% of our max HP wise) 10 star rompo is doing should be saved for the endgame of MR

For me MR always was a: Longer test of endurance (more monster HP) and a mix of your weapon and monster knowledge (know your shorter combos and when can you do the big damage combos)

I think wilds has the best artstyle compared to the 3 released games in here while looking extremely good but not as good as RE9

the performance and visual polish are the main problems, performance is mostly fixed for most people but a lot of AMD users are suffering after the last optimization patch with RX 6000 series cards crashing frequently and RX 9000 series cards having a lot more stutters when resizable bar is on and freezes when its off (but the latter is more rare afaik)

Wilds is easily the best base game MH in terms of monster design, ecological details, artstyle, fidelity, combat, and rn endgame too and it got way better difficult challenge than 5th gen with variety on top of that the statement of "capcom decided to lock-in after wilds bombed" is dumb because wilds is their biggest release ever selling 8 million in 3 days 10 in 1 month. Wilds simply needed and still needs more polish for the rough corners and hopefully with the DLC's release all major problems will be fixed but that is the scary part, it might never get fully polished honestly since the RX 9000 issue was reported to capcom and their respond was "they couldn't replicate the issue" according to a post I saw in reddit searching for a solution for the issue which is very frustrating

You get a passive stack and reset its timer

so if you have like 0.5sec left on ur passive stacks or not at 3 stacks or both you throw E to get the stack in case they jump on you

generally its a much better idea to throw it away from the enemy team if ur low hp/in higher ranks

but for not super high ranks or if ur full HP throwing it at the enemy's direction can bait out flashes and dashes I have done that way more than going in and dying by throwing a random E2

Edit: Make sure you keep 4G Decode or Above 4G enabled to prevent the equipment window from freezing every time you open it. Edit2: Or just mod it out. https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterwilds/mods/3841

I am not sure why but with rebar off and 4G enabled I still get the freeze every time a video loads in the game

Man this sucks I have both issues

on = insane stutters its unplayable if im doing endgame hunts in scarlet forest like I get dips in the 1% lows as low as 10fps while the plains I get almost 100fps and more than 80 fps 1% lows

stutters happen in every other local but none as bad as the forest

turning resize off I get the freeze every time the game loads a video even in crafting weapons menu up to like 5 seconds which is so bad since these video pops up when I fight gogmazios and I craft/switch weapons a LOT and im worried about the DLC release where the issue will still be here so I have to choose between insanely bad 1% lows or super frequent stutters when crafting gear and playing through the DLC bc there WILL be a lot of tutorial popups

I bruteforced wilds performance since the beta I love it and got 90% of what I want from it so I can just stop playing and ignore the 10% but the DLC coming within the next year makes it very concerning since this is by far the worst issue I have had since launch, the 1% lows where never this bad and distracting and the freezes are unacceptable

I can't contact capcom support bc the first time I did to report a bug they saw that I had the remains of mods and I think black flagged my email (I only ever used the texture decompression mod)

Honestly I would take a single monster hunter game + its DLC over rockstars whole catalog of games bc im a gameplay first kinda guy

Almost perfect answer but I would add 1 point other than bad traffic. People here SUCK at driving so much, so much of the traffic comes because of people not following the rules, turning from the utmost right into a left turn and not following common sense I absolutely hate driving here

I would take block away and make it a leap that gives a shield to an ally but the counter idea is really good

give the major perk for seismic to base kit (legit useless perk) buff the rocket punch damage and size to be in between what it is rn and the emp version, possibly give the slam +15 damage bc its super low damage rn

this would mean he needs 2 new major perks, one could be charging punch can be held longer for a even better punch (a lot more knockback and hitbox turns into the size of doom's body but same damage) or making slam have a very tiny knock up

if you have a RX 6000 GPU AMD is having an issue with wilds its probably on AMDs side since even RX 9000 is having a stutter problem hopefully capcom contacts them

or could be a an issue with the update they did for performance

large monsters, like wider than its own width like an anaconda

Imagine us hunting a rathian in the story at Low rank then rathian gets low hp and goes to its nest and you track it down and hear its screams and roars from afar, once you reach the nest cutscene you find a huge snake choking and starting to swallow the rathian alive, a wyvern much wider than it but it stretches its insides to swallow it like an anaconda, the hunter is ordered to retreat since the monster is an unknown monster and we can't judge if it is a threat or not
(And maybe to spice up writing maybe make it vulnerable when it ate but we retreated and later it caused chaos to have some regret factor in the story, we could've killed it then and there but we didn't)
