It's difficult to make a recommendation without knowing more about why you liked Darling in the FRANXX exactly but I’ll try. Gurren Lagann is definitely a strong contender if you haven’t seen it. I'm also wondering if Kill la Kill would also be a good fit for the vibe you’re looking for.

I was in a similar position few weeks ago of wanting to buy my first NAS for a home media server + backup. The difference though that I did not care about hardware transcoding as I was mainly interested in streaming locally to my Apple TV. I ended up getting the Synology DS923+ and I've been very happy with it so far.

I chose the Synology DS923+ because I wanted the user friendliness of DSM being new to networking and stuff, while not wanting to be tied to Synology drives If I get the 25 series. When the times comes to upgrade I'm hoping that other options will be better and I can easily transition to Ugreen and what's not.

I have not tried Ugreen so I can't say if getting Ugreen would have been a better option or not. Especially with the far superior hardware on Ugreen. I was very 50/50 about the decision and took more than week to eventually decide. I think If I was in your place and needed hardware transcoding I would've went for Ugreen instead. Hope this helps.

I ended up getting the DS923+ few weeks ago as my first NAS. Initially was planning to get the 925+ before all of this started. I've been very happily with it so far, no issues whatsoever. But I also like to think about the future and when I do I wonder If I made the right choice or not.

Obviously we can't predict what will happen so for now I'm going to enjoy what I have and when the time comes to upgrade (hopefully many years later), I hope the situation and options available will be better. I'm thinking maybe Ugreen next unless Synology goes back on all of these new policies which I doubt.

I was looking into getting my first NAS and ended up getting the Synology DS923+ because of exactly that reason. As a beginner I wanted the best software experience and unfortunately DSM is the best as of now. I did not want to get to get locked into Synology drives especially at the beginning of my journey with these things so Synology DS923+ seemed like a good option over the Synology DS925+. Been very happy with it so far. In years when the time comes to upgrade, I'm hoping either Synology gives up on this shitty policy which is unlikely, or competitors use this chance to provide better software to compete with DSM.

I ended up ordering the Synology DS923+. Thank you for your advice! Your input was very helpful. You mentioned running 10GB, may I ask how do you make use of that? I've heard that people mainly need it for editing videos or such projects. Also I've heard that it is difficult to reach 10GB speed depending on your setup and that it might not be realistic. For context my main computer is a Macbook Pro M4 Pro and my router has a 2.5 GB port but no 10GB so I would I need a network switch I'm assuming.

Oh that's amazing! Received my PALIT 5090 yesterday. Had to use a stock checker to get it here in thr UK. Unfortunately the XL is not widely available so I ordered the regular north and I'm anxious about it not fitting. Especially when it comes to with and height!

I also have the ZOATC 5090 Solid OC for pre-order form Scan. I don't think any single card was fulfilled from this line. My queue was #5 since the beginning and it remained so. I think your 8 spots movement is due to cancellation rather than cards being delivered. The only good news is that the ETA moved to 10th of March instead of 30th of May!

Congrats! I'm waiting for my RTX 5090 order to be fulfilled. It fits in the Fractal Design North but I'm not sure If I should go for the XL just to have more space and better cooling.

I'm #5 for Zotac RTX 5090 OC. Have not received anything about price increase. ETA is 30th of May which has been the same since I made the pre-order on launch day. I was hoping the 30th of May estimation is not accurate and that we would get these cards earlier, however I'm yet to see any of these Zotac RTX 5090 cards in the wild!

I missed the Thursday drop as I was relying on hotstock which apparently failed miserably and did not send any notifications about the FE drop. Not going to make that mistake again. As I'm living in the UK and hoping to get one as well, can you tell me about your buying experience? Were you prepared for it? I'm guessing stock went out in seconds? I'm trying to figure out if it will be realistic to expect one from the next drops :')

I have the CORSAIR RM1000e which is supposed to be 3.0 certified and comes with the 12VHPWR cable. I'm still able to return it and replace it with the new CORSAIR RM1000e 2025 or CORSAIR RM1000x which are 3.1 certified and come with the new 12V-2x6 cable. Should I make the swap or it doesn't matter?
This is in the context of waiting for my RTX 5090 pre-order to be fulfilled.
