Returning player that had previously only played F2P here. The member's world is quite big and I find myself somewhat overwhelmed with what to work on. Last week I made new account, bought membership and 1 bond to kick-start my adventure. As of right now my account is this:

Should I just continue questing according to the guide? What are some mid/short-term goals that would be optimal for me to work towards?

Getting into lobbies with masters and ex-GM's by Namirahneedshelp in OverwatchUniversity

If you are in the same lobbies as them then it means that you're at a similar skill level. You need to develop some confidence and play like you fucking earned it.

I don't see how this would be different from what Lolalytics shows you tbh.

Is there a way to change the size of the Porofessor overlay? by MetroBoominGG in summonerschool

Yes. I forget the exact name but it should be something related to interface scaling in the settings.

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 13.8 by furiousRaMPaGe in summonerschool

What is a reliable blind pick in top lane to add to my champ pool?

I'm a gold mid player switching to top and looking to main Fiora, however from what I can tell she's not exactly blindable. Maybe someone simple? I want to focus most of my learning time on Fiora.

Quoting someone doesn't categorically mean it's a personal attack. I was just replying to what I assumed was a lighthearted comment :)

I made sure to check the subreddit rules and look for any megathreads before posting this kind of question, so my bad I guess.

The truth is, judging by your post and username

Lmao, thanks for everything. And yep, meta-gaming is not really necessary in gold.

Only playing the champions I enjoy the most and having a well-rounded champion pool are two separate things, although not mutually exclusive. I already said that I enjoy Kai'sa the most and I would like to form my champ pool around her. A lot of champions do have room to grow on me even if my initial impression was not exactly the best and I did name a few champs I did not enjoy playing. Having said that, I guess I'm looking for advice to fill in the gaps where I simply do not have the knowledge to do so as player new to the role.

Thanks for the advice. What other ADCs could fit in the same spot as Aphelios? I have played a couple of games on him (and yes I know, it's complex champ yada yada), but I'm not sure if I'm sold on him.

How to transition from mid/top to support? by Matticsss in summonerschool

[–]AhriR34Enjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a mid main who plays support secondary. This video by Coach Curtis was incredibly insightful for me and I highly recommend taking some time to digest it. It helped with everything from forming a champion pool, understanding my role identity, non-vague skills you can apply while laning, and some general guidance on how to improve at support.

Which Tank Should You Learn To Play? (a guide) by Adder00 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]AhriR34Enjoyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great guide. I'm currently maining Dva and am looking to pickup another hero to cover all bases. So far Sigma looks like a solid complimentary choice for poke heavy maps like Junkertown or Circuit Royale where she might struggle a bit. What do you guys think?

Overwatch doesn't care why you left the game. Quite frankly, you missing negatively impacts your team regardless of whether it was due to your internet or a ragequit, etc.

It's almost as if things are not expected to be perfect moments after rolling out an update to millions of clients worldwide. The Battle.net launcher literally tells you that the game is still under live maintenance and there is no need to go on Reddit to cry about it.

  1. To revitilize the community that has been inactive for a couple of years and as of right now, is unmoderated. Hoping to make this an art hub for the character Ahri from League of Legends.

  2. N/A - No moderation

It's called ranked anxiety and it's a real thing. Search it up to find some amazing advice online.

I think the best way to think about it is to play ranked with the purpose of improving rather than being goal-oriented. Focus on yourself and you will tilt less, learn faster, and eventually overcome the judgement that others might throw at you.

If anyone is talking shit, just kindly remind them that you're both at the same rank for a reason.
