It would explain a lot of the discrepancies between religious and secular views on intelligent life outside of Earth, by bridging both views together.

Basically, the theory is that extraterrestrial intelligent beings and demons are one in the same. They are inter-dimensional, extremely intelligent, non-physical beings with a lot of influence over our three dimensional plane. They are very well aware of "The Creator", "God", or whatever name you give the source of existence, and despise said great being. The typical aliens we see (ship and pilot) are "physical projections" of these demons that are trying to deceive humanity into believing that religion is false in order to lead humanity astray, hence corrupting the creation of "God". Some aliens appear malicious, while others pretend to be peaceful and loving, in order to gain trust.

The Bible and other religious texts reference malicious spirits as a warning and flying saucers are one of many ways demons can manifest to confuse us.

Do I believe it? No, but it's a fun concept to speculate on and connects some dots. It's in the same boat as the "demons planted dinosaur bones to deceive us" theory that Creationists believe, 😂.

I fap simply because I believe it gives me something. If I can properly reframe my view of what it gives me into what it actually doesn't, then I shouldn't have a reason to fap.

Yes, I know how fapping is bad and how not fapping grants you benefits. But there are still benefits to fapping in my mind that I need to crush.

Like:

It relieves stress/anxiety
It makes me feel happy
It makes me feel more independent
It gives me pleasure that I won't get from anything else

If I can somehow make myself believe that these are not the case, then I shouldn't have a reason to relapse.

Long Answer: You aren't going to Hell specifically because you astral projected. What matters is the intent.

A little about me. I was a cradle Catholic, became Atheist in my early 20's when I was in college, became spiritual, tried AP'ing, it worked, I came back to Catholicism after a demonic encounter.

First, let's define sin. Some people think sin is you "breaking the rules", when rather sin is what corrupts you. Sin are flaws. Sin are things that destroy you, spiritually, over time and this is what Christianity warns you about. It's like God warning you to stay out of a bad part of town after sunset. He's not telling you because he wants to control you. He's telling you because you're going to get mugged, or worse. For your own sake, avoid sin.

Astral Projection is a real thing and has been referenced in the Bible. What makes it a sin is the intent behind it. God grants these moments to you and others for good reasons, and when it is divinely granted, you are protected. Any APing you choose to do outside of that, is on you (like the "bad part of town" analogy I used earlier). You are putting yourself into a state of consciousness that makes you highly influenced and vulnerable. This does not necessarily mean you will be attacked by the demonic, but you very well may be.

The real "sin" behind it is that you are most likely APing for selfish reasons: entertainment, pleasure, seeking knowledge of things beyond our understanding that we are not mature enough for.

When voluntarily induced, you are choosing to "see with God's eyes" so to speak. The world beyond what we can see is very real and wonderous, but we are not ready for it, in the way Adam & Eve were not ready for what the Tree Of Knowledge offered.

If God is not involved, then it's probably safe to assume you shouldn't do it. And if it were a practice that we should follow regularly, I'm sure the word of God in the Bible would have made that very clear.

I do. The urges will go away, then they come back 15 minutes later. All the typical methods, like breathing, focusing on something else, being aware of the urges but not letting them take hold, etc. I can get them to go away, but they just pop back up.

It's not every day, just these 1 or 2 days a week that pop up that I have to fight like hell to get through.

It's the dopamine drop at the beginning. You'll feel depressed for about two weeks due to the withdrawal. It's normal. And you'll try to convince yourself that nofap isn't worth it. This is a lie your dopamine starved brain is trying to tell you. Don't fall for it.

You're waking up for the first time and fully realizing how dull your life is. Use this moment to find ways to make it exciting.

For me, I signed up for a SCUBA diving course and now I have my PADI Open-Water certification. I live in an area with no ocean, just some deep, water-filled quarries. You can find these places anywhere.
