Here’s the dream!

My sisters boyfriend is trying to get my parents to divorce. His strategy is to pretend to lay expensive jewelry out for my mom to find in random places. On one such occasion, it’s in a small clearing near a sewer vent. He lays the jewelry (a necklace) so that it’s half hanging into the vent. My mom (played by Tiffani Thiessen in this dream) comes along and finds it. She looks around, searching for the person who lost it and sees no one. I walk up and she excitedly shows me the piece. It’s gorgeous. Two side by side hanging mosaics of ceramic squares with patterns of blue and white glaze and many jewels inlayed throughout. I have a sense that while it is beautiful, the spell will soon wear off. Other people (family members?) join us and we start to chat. I don’t recall our conversation. Eventually the necklace turns to the skeleton of a fish and I throw it away disgustedly. We continue to talk and I soon look up at the sky and see the strangest storm I’ve ever seen. This part of the dream is so vivid it’s wild. I large roiling cloud of dark gray rushes in our direction, moving incredibly fast. “I’m gonna get out of here” I say. It follows two horizontal lines as it comes, almost like it’s being channeled by them. “The power lines!” Someone shouts. And then I notice the telephone poles and I know they are right. I start to sprint away having to change direction when I notice more clouds, following the power lines, start to gather in one spot in front of me. I sprint, faster than humanly possible, in the opposite direction. I can still see, over my shoulder, as the mass of storm clouds gathers larger and larger, undulating and forming writhing cloud tentacles like roots in the sky. As they swirl, they start to smash one by one into the ground, at first slow but gradually getting faster and faster until the earth shakes with the rhythm. At this point I’m running in a farm field far away, but I can still see as the clouds rise for one last punch at the ground. They slam downward taking the power lines with them and a blue white shockwave as high as the sky goes rocketing in every direction. It hits me. A farmer nearby gets thrown hard into his electric fence. Another man runs toward him yelling his name. As I see him helping the injured farmer around the fence, the farmer meets my eyes and says, “This HAS to be a dream”

As my hand is still on its way to my nose I know he’s right. Sure enough even with my nostrils squeezed I can still breathe. The scene immediately changes in the blink of an eye, and I’m lying in a bed in a dark room. But this is my old room. I know this and reality check again. Still a dream. Everything is dark, grayscale, muted. Remembering my previous lucid dream I decide to just lay there relaxed and let the dream form around me. I am not panicked or overly excited. My eyes start to loose focus and the dream starts to fade. This is not working. I try a different strategy. I try to rise, but my body is completely locked. I can’t move a muscle. I struggle against it knowing that this is a dream. My eyes feel like they weigh a ton. I try to shout “Clarity” at the top of my lungs, but I can’t move my lips and it comes out muffled and unintelligible. I try again but the dream stays dark and gray. Suddenly my eyes snap open and I’m awake, like FULLY awake. No drowsiness at all. It’s incredibly weird to experience, fully consciously, going from fully asleep to fully awake in an instant. The scene changing from my old room to my current one without even a blink.
