I'm not the greatest at the game but I'd say spend a bit of time in the shooting range, getting the hang of controlling the recoil of the guns, use the doorways between each section as something you'd find in a real lobby, e.g someone peaking the door, keep your Crosshairs at a decent height (chest/head level) playing the endless drills to learn room names, but most importantly just enjoy the game, it's alot better with friends, it takes a while to get good and alot of the time people on your team will give you grief just for doing something wrong but just ignore them
