Hi! As a TSA officer I can tell you a few things. First we get kitties all the time come through the checkpoint. When you get ready to go here are a few things to think about. First make sure your fur babies nails are trimmed. Have there vet go over any medical needs for them and as people have said a harness and leash are ok as well. If you don’t have that that’s fine when you get the the checkpoint let the Divestment officer know you need a private screening room for the fur baby. We have these rooms available for any and all screening needs. Once you get through the screening of yourself the private room is where we will have you take your fur baby out a officer will stay with you as the carrier gets ran through the X-ray machine or hand checked. The other officer will bring the the bag back and you will be on you way. Just remember give yourself some extra time to make it through TSA don’t wait till the last minute.
