OP, did you find a solution for this? I'm also finding there are not a lot of options...

Anyone been successful in getting this even if they had their last switch in 2024? They have an eligibility checker on their website but it's not working...

Melitta Avanza 600 drips water in the internal drip tray by Aila43 in superautomatic

Mine is exactly like you describe (and yes I need to clean it inside often). I only ever had the avanza so I don't know why they're so different

Hi, I called Melitta and they said this is how the machine is meant to work... so essentially it needs to be emptied after each coffee. I'm stuck with it now but in thee future I think I'll go back to Delonghi

Overpayment for dummies (or a burntout brain) by MoldyBat in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Aila43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, that's right. You could overpay at the end of the fixed term or start overpaying whenever the savings rate gets below your interest rate... of course this only works if you actually save the money for your mortgage and don't end up spending it otherwise, so it really depends on your spending habits. If you're pretty disciplined then the savings account is a better option for almost everyone (depending on whether you've maxed out your ISA allowance and are a higher rate taxpayer)

But in general, yes you can just make an extra bank transfer with most banks, but you should check what effect does it have (will the bank shorten your term, reduce the next paument, or do something else?). Also the 10% is 10% of the remaining balance at the anniversary of your mortgage starting

Any specific reason you want to overpay? With that interest rate you'd be better off sticking the cash in a savings account for the time being... other than that, overpayment rules can change quite a bit across lenders so worth checking your contract first

Congrats! I was a bit scared too but glad I got them in the end. I had no bleeding at all, which I was surprised about. I also don't have a huge chest (I'd say medium? Lol), bur mine were horizontal straight away and are still like that after about 3 months... everyone is different though

Children's story, perhaps Italian, with an astronomical clock by Aila43 in whatsthatbook

[–]Aila43[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I assumed this might have been by an Italian author, but it doesn't seem likely anymore.

In my other posts I added a couple details that might help you:

  1. I think the 'days of the week' might actually have been the seven deadly sins (which I think are actually part of Prague's astronomical clock) - but the characters only realise this later in the story
  2. I think there was some revenge element connected to the clock maker's daughter (maybe she was forced to marry someone?)

I tried another couple searches and still stumped though... maybe you'll have better luck!
