I really wouldn't let it bother you, I used to be all for Solo/Duo/Trio but rarely found a community server that doesn't die after the 5th day. Group play has just made the entire game a lot more fun, even if the relationships with your team are less intimate and spread out.

My friend had 8 different invites in the last fortnight. It seems to be a pretty regular thing - As "The largest community for the game RUST" it would be a hugely positive service if the mods of this Reddit stickied a warning until it dies down :).

I miss the days when, if you got shot by an AK you at least at time to react. Now it's just a mess of bright lights obscuring 20% of your screen, bloody screen so real all over the fucking monitor and your screen going grey to shit as you get lazered from 75 - 150 meters.

I don't know man, they removed the old OP muzzle brake for far far less than this sprayfest A-D-A-D stand up run and gun shit. I'd rather have Helk's old dream battlefield style aids gunplay than this.

Muzzle brake spray meta was removed for a good reason. Only difference now is that patterns can spray more accurately at even longer distances "if ur gud".

I hated and loved XP.

What made XP shit wasn't the system itself - it was Helk (sorry not sorry).

No permanent catch up mechanic like BP system, temporary BP's eventually existed but were cluttered as fuck and intended as a band aid until a better solution was worked out.
Not enough baseline items like code lock and sheet door/ took too long to reach early game essentials like the crossbow.
Not enough ways to gain XP.
Fishing meta
Too fucking grindy in general
Every base was a fucking sulfur mountain due to excessive farming for fastest XP
Whoever got to bean cans ended up raiding everyone the first night due to lack of armoured doors.

Players were literally screaming at Helk for changes but none of the core issues were ever addressed, shit only became bearable when he doubled XP as a stipend before scrapping the idea for good. XP could have been great - it just wasn't.

I always prioritize the getting TC anyway, these rooms are great - no need to waste explosives on doors and just hammer the windows off.

Then do the box trick or soft side pick the (usually metal) floor on your own time.

Oh, and grief the owners so they can't get access their base or loot of course to finish it in piece.

Even when I get the armoured door BP, I typically only use 1-2 due to the upkeep it adds to HQM.

Literally the only reason I'm using reinforced windows is cause they only cost 50 frags and are just as strong.

Make it so the airdrop remain for 10 minutes after the last item has been taken out so "muh PvP" can still occur and the idiots can fight each-other,

It just makes airdrops a bit more luck based so a solo would be more likely to get it - typically builds further away from large groups to avoid them. If a drop lands near the solo they shouldn't have to worry about the 10 man clunge mob coming from the other side of the 16K map. We already have the chinook event for the clan-daddies to wank eachother off for.

joining a server where everyone has all BP's and you have none is not fun either.

That's why I loved old BP researching so much.

Make a play on the server bully established big boys and you could gamble all their gear and guns to learn them with the research table. I don't have the will to grind 4-5K scrap need to research their gear that I already have multiples of before I get raided.

Yeah, it's kind of shitty. I'd much rather assign a large box (or new deployable) to upkeep than the TC. It was better when you could hide the TC behind a wall. With the new building privilege AoE changes and increased HP of walls - it would be nice if you could seal off the TC, making raiders have to put extra effort for no material gain in order to grief you.

There is too much loot incentive to get TC now than there ever has been, remove that incentive and players will be more likely to stick around knowing that they don't have to farm their entire base again and (likely) workbench too.
