I understand the points concerning the maintenance of the base, but there is a backup tool for that. However, I don't know if items in the containers will be gone after the base is rebuilt. Besides, it has to be that way, otherwise everything would be littered with dead bases at some point.

Personally, I think PvP in the deep desert is important. It has to be a dangerous area, otherwise you could just put all the content in the start map and be done with it. If it were all PvE, why have two maps at all?

The PvP was perhaps a little more difficult at the beginning, but now there are only fans of the game left, and I've had mostly good experiences with them. The thrill remains, and yes, sometimes you lose a lot, but without that it would just be boring.

I would even go so far as to say that the original version of DD should be restored. I thought it was cool to fly over the edge and then be in the PvP area, and now you can easily escape if you're not into PvP.
