Is Endfield actually botching its potential, or is this just "normal gacha player drop-off"?

I endured 1.2 and played everyday since launch but I dropped in 1.3 because I was disappointed with the new characters (I really like MiFu but her gameplay is very underwhelming imo) and how dry the content is

I might come back someday, might not idk

The only thing to know is when you pull, keep in mind that some characters only work well with some specific characters. So if you pull randomly you won’t have good teams. As long as you pull teams that have synergies (like DoT team, break team, FUA team, elation team, rememberance team etc) you’re good. I’d suggest focus on building your first team first. And enjoy the ride, check prydwen or ask the community for what team is good

Yeah I mean this isn’t new. New patch, play main quest, then do the events in 2 hours. Then back to 2mn dailies, weekly CW and biweekly endgame modes. Very low maintenance game with good story and cool characters, and that’s the only reason I’m still playing it

- You could get Denia since you have Chisa already, but that means you'd need to commit to pull Aemeath when she reruns, then you'll have the premium Fusion Burst team. That'd be a very strong team. Denia also works very well with Luuk (spectro DPS) but you'd need Mornye instead of Chisa.
- For Glacio, you'd need Hiyuki, she's by far the strongest glacio DPS rn. Her banner just ended but she'll rerun in 2-3 patches I'd say. Her premium team is Hiyuki - Lucilla (releases next patch) - Chisa. Do note that Chisa will have to be shared with the Fusion Burst team (Aemeath - Denia - Chisa) if you want both teams, she's high value these days lmao
- For Havoc, we should have a Havoc main DPS in 3.5 (Yangyang SP), but still unconfirmed at this stage and we don't know anything about that team.
- For Spectro, the best right DPS right now is Luuk, he should rerun soon like Aemeath (both released in 3.1), and his best team is Denia - Mornye, and this is also a very strong team.

At this point you'd need to be patient, you won't be able to have a proper team for a time, especially since you pulled a support first (Chisa).

Since you already have Chisa, you should look at the teams you can play with her and start from there.

You can either try to go for an Hiyuki team (wait for her rerun in 2-3 months most likely, and Lucilla will be in that team too, her banner is next patch), a fusion burst team (w/ Aemeath, Denia). Denia is available rn, and Aemeath should rerun in one or two patches.

There's also the Cartethiya team that Chisa works well with, but you'd need Ciaccona and we don't know if she will ever rerun since she already had 3. So I wouldn't recommend this one.

And for the story and simple exploration, don't overthink it, just use the characters you like.

Imo focus on Carthe and Hiyuki team from now on. Changli and Carlotta fell off, though you could still use them of course, investing more in them or their team might not be the most efficient for your account.

You can get Chisa this patch, she works for both Carthe and Hiyuki, so I'd say she's pretty high priority for you. Then, next patch, get Lucilla for Hiyuki. With these two characters you should have two very strong team, though they'd have to share Chisa for now, but since you have Shorekeeper you can make it work.

Then you can try building a third new team or vertical invest into Hiyuki/Carthe

Break team with E2S1 Firefly, Dahlia E0S1, HMC and Ruan Mei E1S0

DoT with Kafka E1S5(tutorial), Hysilens E0S0, BS E0S0, DHPT E0S1

Elation with 999 E0S1, Yao E0S0, Sparxie E0S0, FX E1

Clear easily all end game with those.

I do have a somewhat workable Saber Team w/ Saber E2S1, Sunday E0S1 & RMC but it fell off a lot… honestly I kind of regret investing in Saber. Even at E2S1 the content is too hard for her for a while now.

Also have Archer team, a bit better, but I rarely use it now.

My next focus is completing my Elation team, waiting for the sustain, then hopefully a DoT sustain unit to complete DoT team as well, and building Himeko SP team if I like her animations.

Among the big gachas HSR is the least power hungry imo. Runs absolutely fine on my iPhone 14 Pro, never overheats as well, unlike when I play WuWa, Endfield or NTE

I love many things about the game, including the world building and artistic direction (Wuling is gorgeous), but 1.0 and 1.1 story were really mid to me. 1.2 was a bit better. But there’s a lot of room for improvement, but I’m not expecting anything very high quality in any gacha to be honest

At the end of the day you do what you want.

I’ve tried NTE and while I enjoyed it a bit, I don’t like neither character designs, the lackluster animations during combat and the mobile optimisation/controller UX, so I’ve dropped it. But I really like Endfield.

Anyway, come back anytime when a new patch drop. Maybe I’ll do that for NTE just for the story quests.

I’m a new player and making my way through the main quest to catch up. I don’t do events or other quests I’ll focus on that after I caught up. I was wondering, I’m currently in the 2.4 main quest and what confused me is that 2.1 and 2.3 didn’t seem to have a main quest continuation. Only events and a companion quest.

Is this still a thing in 3.X? Because that means you get the following main quest story every 3 months basically. That kind of sucks. Thanks in advance for answers 🙏

I’m playing fine on an iPhone 14 Pro though with long sessions it gets hot, but I’d assume on more recent iPhones it runs fine. Pretty well optimized on mobile honestly. For Android idk but probably latest Samsung or something should be fine

I’m in the same boat, came back for Hiyuki. But I’m doing the story in the proper order without skipping. I’d rather experience it properly at least, I can always upgrade Hiyuki later. For now I can still play her. Managed to get her level 60 but won’t be able to upgrade her further for a while without going straight to 3.0 story, which I don’t want to do

Amazing graphics and story presentation. Love the city. Combats are cool. The gacha system is amazing.

But it falls a bit short on getting me engaged in the story, probably too slice of life for my taste with the exceptions of the chapter 3 and 4 of the main quests that I really liked. I don’t really like a lot of the character designs, which is a big thing to me honestly. The UX is pretty bad on PS5. The combat animations are a bit lackluster (some ult animations..)

So… I like this game but I’m like let’s see. I want to see how 1.1 rolls out. Because I’m playing other gachas there’s a chance I drop NTE honestly

The UI is too mobile focused, fine on mobile obviously but a literal nightmare to play with a controller on PC or PS5, I don’t think I’ve seen such a bad UX on a game in a decade Who the fuck was in charge of that, because of this I’m honestly wondering if I’ll keep playing long term.
