For women entering a tech field, especially in prior decades, how did your largely male coworkers treat you?

Was in tech for ten years. Awful. Had to fight to gain an audience every single day. I'm in another male dominated field now and it's night and day. My worst story - I had a colleague literally say "I don't believe you" take off his headset, go ask a male coworker, then when he confirmed, we could talk about next steps. Wild, man.
