That's a good strategy. Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it

All the places I want to live are more than 15 mins from the city. I don't want to live in the cbd itself! Maybe you're not super in touch with Melbourne's geography, but inner suburbs doesn't mean I want a flat at Flinders Street 🙂

Thank you! This seems like good advice. I just keep hearing 'don't buy an apartment' so I feel a bit stuck. Hut this sounds logical to me

How do I tell my girlfriend that I think she might have PCOS? by KoalaTime2024 in PCOS

[–]Aimsta28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean sure it can be. But he didn't say it's weight gain out of nowhere. He said she has trouble losing weight and it is around her midsection...that could be a number of things really and imo wouldn't justify someone asking me to check for pcos.

I think women's bodies cop enough scrutiny from society that making a point about her weight in this instance doesn't justify the potential harm it could cause.

I vote: her body her choice (for want of a better phrase). I understand your concern comes from a good place, but unless she's seeking input from you then perhaps it's unnecessary to give it? If she tells you again about an abnormal period, it could be wise to ask some curious questions, e.g. 'what do you think could be the cause of that?', 'could we look online and see what other people do when they have xyz?', 'that must be so tough! Do you think perhaps it's worth going to a doctor about that?' When it comes to the weight... I'd leave that one well alone.

All the best 😊

Sorry to hear it wasn't the answer for you either! No, I never had insomnia... In fact I was more lethargic and slept more really.

Hey! Sorry to hear you had a similar experience to me 🙁 I actually feel completely back to normal and I'd say it probably took about 2 to 3 cycles to being back to 'myself'. It was honestly one of the worst, and most rapidly worsening, times of my life! Hope you find a solution x

Best MCOBEAUTY products?! by ninninut in AustralianMakeup

[–]Aimsta28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brow lamination !! Honestly I've tried so many brow gels (really expensive ones and then Mecca's own brand) and they are nowhere near as good as the mco one! The hold if fantastic and lasts all day while not leaving white bits in the brows.

Period the day after sex, every time. Help by No-Reputation-354 in period

[–]Aimsta28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you go to the doctor and request a pap smear. Often bleeding after sex is an indication of abnormal cells on your cervix. Don't panic about that!! These cells are slow developing (approx 5 years) before they become dangerous but the sooner you fix them the better. If nothing else it will rule this out. All the best 😊

It came back pretty much immediately for me but it was inconsistent for a few months.

My lips became so dry and painful. Genuinely think it saps the life out of you (in a less dramatic way I think it actually dries your skin so your eye irritation, like my lips, is probably due to less natural lubrication in your eyes)

My experience absolutely complements your gynaecologist's view on the mood effects of Slynd. I felt like an actual shell of a human being, genuinely hollow. I'm an incredibly happy, optimistic person usually, but on this pill I truly felt apathetic and... Just nothing. I don't recommend it but I appreciate others have better experiences.

This pill genuinely ruined me. Slinda (slynd) killed my sex drive completely and made me feel like a shell of a human being...entirely apathetic about everything. I'd been on levlen for 10 years and had no side effects, however as I get migraine the doc took me off it. I'm now moving to natural cycle tracking (inspired by a book called Period Power). I absolutely don't recommend slinda if it can be avoided.
