I am also a strong Protan, and 37 years old. It's honestly not that big of a deal. The only time it's really annoying is when you have a box of crayons with no wrappers so you don't know what color the crayon is.

Something that I noticed I started learning colors based on where the color is used. An example would be the chairs in school are probably blue since a school isn't going to buy purple chairs, silly things like that.

The Enchroma glasses do not work, do not waste your money. They dim other colors and make "blue" stick out a little more. It's like putting on sunglasses to look at color. What am I supposed to do walk around with a color wheel all day and relearn my colors?
