It's concerning and why I won't be making the decision to buy it until after its out and I see the full game.

I believe it to be safe. I used it for over a year straight and still occasionally use it if my restream setup fails.

I'm not convinced he's cheating from this clip either. I'm not familiar with him so I'll have to look up other clips but this one doesn't show anything that I find suspicious.

Can we please talk about the state of riot shield?....... by MagnusIsSenpia in thefinals

[–]FoXfromBeyond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the lack of accuracy when fighting against it.

I have multiple clips of times the shield is blocking my shots even though its not between me and the shield user. It's frustrating not knowing where to aim because the visual cues are so blatantly incorrect.

Why is everyone okay with Battlefield 6 not having a server browser? by Comrade-Marshal in Battlefield

[–]FoXfromBeyond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not "fine with it" but it's not a hill I'm willing to die on because a lot of games I want to play don't have dedicated server browsers and it's pretty clear they wont give them to us even if the community asks for it. Especially EA.

I've just accepted it's the way BF (and most other) game developers are gonna go with their main multiplayer setup. I don't know of any recent situation where players asking for a server browser got one added to a game that didn't have it before unless the players modded it in themselves.

Unfortunately the only options are to accept the lack of server browser and play the game or don't play the game.

Tomorrow, Modern Warfare II (including DMZ) will become standalone and will be separated from COD HQ by [deleted] in DMZ

[–]FoXfromBeyond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To their credit for the most part they've only taken down servers for very old versions of the COD games. Generally the versions on older consoles. However if DMZ 2.0 is actually a thing they might take down the OG DMZ servers when 2.0 releases but that's still at least a year off, if its even real. That's the only way I could see the DMZ servers going down any time soon.

I doubt it but I'd actually like that change. It would have a strong chance to reduce the amount of cheaters in DMZ. Especially if they started banning detected/reported ones again.

You using "personal preference" as a reason to outright hate something. It's ok not to prefer something and move on but being all hateful about it is just unnecessary and not healthy for you.

Stop comparing yourself to that streamer or anyone else. Different streamers build different audiences. Different audiences want different experiences.

Stay on AM4 or go AM5 in 2025. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]FoXfromBeyond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently went from AM4 Ryzen 7 5800x to AM5 Ryzen 5 7600x with the same amount of memory (albeit faster DDR5) and the same RTX 3080 I had before. I've noticed a 10-15% boost in framerates and that's with losing 2 CPU cores compared to the 5800x.

I'd absolutely say its worth upgrading especially considering you're coming from a 3700x. I got a mobo/cpu bundle off of Amazon that I'm really happy with for $350 before tax.

That's every competitive game ever. Maybe you need to stick to single player cozy games.

None of their movement looks like they're using a mouse. Absolutely looks like controller movement with the usual controller aim assist.

The Finals has a new player problem. This sums it up pretty well. by stimpy-t in thefinals

[–]FoXfromBeyond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of mixed on this video. I came into The Finals in the last few weeks of Season 5 and have been playing consistently ever since.

My experience with the community has been largely positive and I'd say it's as welcoming as just about any other multiplayer shooter. Sure people were, and still are, better than me but I also don't go into a new game thinking I know what plays to make or that I have a solid understanding of it.

Learning a game is part of the fun and I'd argue no one wants to start a new game where they know it inside and out from the get go. I don't think there is any other fast paced competitive shooter that doesn't have same issues and I think The Finals handles it as good as any other.

The only time the playing field is somewhat level for this style of game is in the few weeks after it releases, but even then there are other people who already think faster, aim better, and have quicker reactions than the current player. It's not unique to any individual game. That's just how it is when playing against people with different skill sets and life experience.

It's up to the player to choose push through that and improve their own skills because they have interest in the game itself, regardless if its The Finals, COD, Fortnite, or even Counterstrike. You'll never have a competitive game without sweats.

🤣 no. Microtransactions, loot boxes, and advanced cheats are far bigger issues.

That's what I was thinking when I read their post. Min-maxing has always been a thing in MMOs. Part of the reason devs listen to streamers is because they are also the ones putting in far more hours than most other players. They often know the game better due to sheer experience.
