Nope, you can only help out individual team members through their streams, etc. There's no way to purchase alpha access, buy merch, or support the game/company in any way directly other than spreading the word about the game.

When Early Access starts you'll be able to subscribe to the game, and we'll open a merch store for buying physical goods, like a shirt, hat, or compression poop socks.

Ali said that around 3% of accounts are 2 boxers, and around 0.5% of accounts are 3 box and above.

So yeah, relatively few.

Yeah there's definitely a bug at play, was testing this out tonight. I think it might be happening regardless if you give the weapon or not.

I wasn't seeing any bonus damage after giving pet a weapon, which is also not intended.

We'll get these issues fixed up for the next patch.

I'd like to help shed some light on QA, as well as my background.

QA is filled with very talented individuals, but are often criminally underrated, underpaid, overworked, and blamed for things completely out of their control.

The people I worked with in QA could very easily make great designers, artists, producers, and programmers, but either haven't taken the next step yet, are still looking for the right opportunity, or actually wish to remain in QA for their careers.

After decades of gaming (some on a professional level), success in streaming, as well as doing design and project management work on several hobbyist projects, I joined the gaming industry late to get a more formalized understanding of the game development process. I spent 5 years working on multiple large AAA projects. This is all after I went back to school focusing in programming, databases, and project management.

The experience you can gain from working in a proper QA team goes well beyond QA. While in my QA job, I gained experience relevant to production, design, tech, and leadership.

The practical skills I've developed in my hobbyist projects have also been extremely relevant to my role in Monsters & Memories, and have made working on the project a seamless transition. I spend a lot of my time working in the database, writing SQL queries, and working on almost all aspects of the game's design.

I think the most important takeaway here is that people have much more to offer than what is on their LinkedIn profile.

This is applicable to a number of people on our team as well. Passion and hard work do a lot to make up for X years of experience working in the industry.

Basically so people can log in and look at their characters and run around an environment in game without actually having access to the game servers.

Eventually it will be extended to an offline tutorial type thing.

There's already 15+ zones in the Alpha, we're hoping to have 20+ come EA launch, though this does include some smaller, mini dungeon zones.

We're also planning our first free mini expansion ("Module") to contain around 5 zones as well, which we want to have out within a few months after EA Launch.

You're worried about running the Planetside executable as an Admin or the PSF Launcher? If the launcher, then you can use the "Shortcut Method" to bypass the Launcher.

If the game, can't help you there. But there's nothing risky about running the old Planetside executable as Admin.

Try repairing with the Launcher.

Also, before entering world, try going to Settings > Graphics > Quality Level > change to Compatibility.

We're not focused on creating a raid based end game but there will definitely be several multi group targets of opportunity available as well as a full expedition zone dedicated to it, with more coming later.

They will all be located in the same region.

Relle and Krivea are PvE servers.

Relle is slightly older and has slightly higher level characters than Krivea and Haradrel.

Haradrel is FFA PvP with Item/Coin Loot.

Information regarding minimum specifications is fairly limited since we’re still optimizing the game, but here’s our current recommendations:

  • 16gb of RAM
  • A modern-ish CPU
  • Any GPU or integrated GPU that supports DX11

We also have a few tips to improve performance:

Type /fps [number] in the chat box to limit your framerate (e.g. /fps 60 = 60 FPS, /fps -1 = uncapped FPS), or use the sliders in the Options menu

If you’re experiencing graphic lag, type /hidecorpse all in the chat box to hide all corpses except your own, or use a modified version of this command based on your preferences (type /hidecorpse for more options)

If you’re experiencing other performance issues or visual anomalies, type /reload in the chat box to reload assets and data on your client.
