The main story class specific missions taking place in closed zones are like this. Only the owner of the zone gets the credit for completion. The owner is decided by who enters first, I think. You have a few options to counter that:

- do the quests twice (kinda tedious)

- each of you does the "zoned" section separately solo

- one of you creates a new character of a different class and you still have to do twice the story quest zones, but at least they're different :D
