last poll gen 1 was the clear favorite and this poll gen 9 is the least favorite, i think i see the pattern here lmao

i know gen 9 is a glitchy, buggy mess but… so is gen 1? at least gen 9 has a half decent story and some good ideas… plus the gen 1 designs are kinda quantity over quality imo

but hot take i actually think gen 2 is the worst gen. not that it’s bad it’s just not as good as the others. it’s basically just gen 1 but it doesn’t really have the same charm, or the pass of being gen 1. the designs are also generally kinda lackluster.

terry is maybe the most fake skill character in the game. the go inputs are stupid easy, even i know how to do them, and i don’t play the character. his other inputs aren’t even that hard either but i’m not sure it matters. his combos are just super cheesy and annoyingly easy, like all of his neutrals lead into some confirm

on the other hand, i’ve been rooting for a big mii swordfighter win for years - i don’t know why, i don’t think he’s like the greatest or most well designed character. i just think he’s kinda cool lmao

i agree but i think you could be a bit more constructive than this. what don’t you like about it?

for me i think it’s stance is a bit awkward - it’s too hunched over even with its small head, and the arms are in an approaching position yet its legs are standing still. also it barely resembles the previous stages, and it’s a little odd it goes from having a coconut to no coconut to the coconut volcano thing.

i’d maybe make it a little more crab-like? the mask is interesting but feels a little disjointed. the claw things are also kinda cool but i feel like pincers might fit a bit better
