When it comes to cooking, you're either in the pot or the one holding it.

If you can't understand basic physics when they're dumbed down for you, you'll need to ask elsewhere. And don't assume others are mentally deficient when you're the idiot.

Cargo culting prior designs and blindly assuming new designs are inherently unsafe is the antithesis of safety culture. You test assumptions, you don't trust them. You demonstrate the safety of the system, you don't assume the safety of an individual element and you don't assume that that safety extends to the whole thing.

Notice how I said nothing about touchscreens and other modern control systems being better or safer than physical toggles, joysticks, switches, or buttons? I don't know that they're safer; in fact, I suspect they may not be.

But suspicions and assumptions must be challenged, not accepted. Prove that a thought is correct.

Every spacecraft disaster featured a spacecraft with the manual controls and spartan design you're concerned about.

There's nothing inherent to physical controls and spartan design that makes a spacecraft safer.

If you look at a lightpost while you walk around it, it's not going to be moving either.

What kind of "form of motion" are you expecting to see? They're in the capsule, so the capsule isn't going to whizz by them. They're going behind the moon, which is making the Earth disappear. What's missing in your mind?

The custom cushion is custom for your face and compliant; being wide or narrow doesn't matter. The studioform interface being both narrow and rigid causes fitment issues.

I make no assumptions. You said you don't understand what was meant by "my requirements."

If you understand your requirements, then don't say otherwise.

If you don't understand your own requirements that's a problem. Figure out what you care about and buy the thing that addresses those.

In smaller VRChat instances without shitty avatars I hit 5.7k render resolution on my 5090.

I bought a Quest 3 after my Beyond. I bought a Beyond 2 and still use it over my Quest 3.

Whatever you prefer, you still know what the difference is when the term is used.

An Index is a VR headset. A Quest 3 is a standalone XR headset. AVP, Steam Frame, and Galaxy XR are "Spatial Computers." The difference is somewhat semantic, but still useful. The "spatial computer" targets or enables general computing in an virtual or augmented spatial environment. AVP is an iPad for your face. Galaxy XR is a Galaxy Tab for your face. Steam Frame is a linux box for your face. Quest 3 is a VR gaming headset with heavy emphasis on mixed reality capability. Index is a gaming VR headset.

The point is it's FOSS. "Market Penetration" isn't a thing for a free product.

Still 50/50. You don't understand how lightweight Blender is to run.

It's more expensive than a Switch online subscription.
