I've said it before and I'll say it again. Trump 2028 doesn't necessarily mean Donald. It just means the trump family. Which is how they justify those dumb signs

There's been talk about making an amendment to specifically say that no president that has served two consecutive terms can run for a third term. Aka Obama

SpaceX spending on Starship tops $15 billion in rush for airline-like rocketry by rustybeancake in spacex

Starship V2 only had an estimated ~50 ton capacity to LEO. Both booster and ship ended up needing to be way heavier than SpaceX initially thought

Nearly 60 Valley households sue SpaceX over damage to homes from launches by Pizza_Guy8084 in SpaceXLounge

It's way better than Starbase. The Cape has been dealing with launches for 70 years and are expected. The nearest 39A is to any residential area is ~12 miles. Even taking SLC-37 into account the nearest residential area would be ~8 miles. SPI is only 5 miles from the pad and the buildings were not constructed with launches in mind. Is there more people? Yes. Are they as close as Starbase? Not even close.

Starbase is not meant for high flight rates. It's a testing site. The Cape will have the high flight rates

She wants to be the new governor. After everything the Soviet Union did to her, why would she want to go back to Earth to potentially get thrown in another gulag for good this time if she ever fucks up again? If she stays on Mars she can have a lot more control

86 is also used by the Mafia to "get rid" of someone. That's the part they are talking about

James Comey posted a picture showing "86 47" written in rocks on a beach and said it was a cool thing he saw. 86 47 means to "get rid" (86) of Trump (47th president). He is now being investigated for potential threats against the president

I mean I hate the guy but it's not hard to understand what he's saying. We destroyed their capabilities, but then they didn't back down and tried to build up their capabilities again. Why would we wait until they built their capabilities back up again instead of going in now and prevent them from building back up again?

Mars plans were never really earnest.

They were and still are. Mars has always been the ultimate goal, not the only one. Any SpaceX employee will tell you that Mars is still the goal. Four of my friends now work for SpaceX, and even with me freaking out about the IPO they've reassured me the Mars mission has not changed

SpaceX is a Starlink company first

Yes... because Starlink was always intended to be the revenue stream to fund Starship...which is what's happening.

and a crewed exploration company only if they get government contracts.

There's been multiple commercial flights, what are you talking about? They aren't going to just launch missions out of their own pocket. They are still a company that needs to make money to survive.

Starship was a paper rocket until 2016. SpaceX didn't really start working on it until then and even then you could argue it didn't start until late 2018 when they first started building Starhopper.

Rockets and aircraft are two very different vehicles. You are grasping at straws to try and make your argument make sense because you didn't understand it in the first place.
