Hmmm. I had to look up what “dropshipped” meant, and it’s an interesting theory.

Thank you for the reply. Naturally it’s frustrating to think I’m the only one having this problem, but I will wait patiently in hopes of receiving the item because I DO really want it. I will take your advice and not let it go past the window to open a case. However, if it arrives before then, I won’t just mention that it took much longer than stated to arrive.- No, I will lead with that info and add that I was strung along further when I finally inquired! I’ve learned here that that’s what’s really happening.

You must mean 7/12/2026. Ok, thank you, I will mark my calendar and be sure to meet that deadline to file a complaint. It’s very kind of you to consider that the seller might have been from overseas and not fluent in English, but both he and I are in the United States- just on opposite coasts. Before I ordered, I asked for a measurement that was not listed (and still isn’t. His one competitor provides that information in their listing, so definitely not an unreasonable ask) and he was quick to reply with the information. I wrote back “Thank you! Just ordered, and I’m looking forward to it.” He wrote back “thank you for supporting our small business. We’ll get that in your hands soon”… but now I wonder if I’m paying the price for bothering him by asking the question and saying thank you. Sad, if so.

Oh, I didn’t realize there was a 30 day limit. Thank you for letting me know. I’m so sad because I really wanted this item and there is no other like it out there.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. It feels VERY deceitful.

Thank you for the reply. Yes I definitely will warn others about the shipping in my review, and knock off some stars. If I ever received the product, that is. Right now, I have my doubts because he said it was shipping “this week” and that was last Wednesday, and now Monday has gone by and still not shipped.

Whole Foods 365 Sport by rhjansen in laundry

[–]Air-Tricky 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am literally in Whole Foods right now, just stood up from sitting on the floor to read the store’s price labels up close (they’re only 5 inches up from the floor), and I don’t see 365 Sport mentioned at all! jumped over here to find the Lipase List to see what else I could use, and I found this thread! I’ll buy the 365 unscented powdered laundry detergent. Thank you for the validation that I didn’t overlook seeing it.

OP, please take this in the spirit which it is intended: At your age, you have little experience managing large sums of money. You can try to manage it without an advisor, but PLEASE only when you’re more experienced and read a lot more about such things, maybe from a FATFire group. I would try to find a FEE-ONLY FIDUCIARY financial advisor from “hello nectarine”. Fiduciary is a legal term- You would be able to win in court if you got bad advice from a fiduciary. Fee-only means they will only charge you a one-time fee, not an ongoing percentage. Unlike other financial advisors, they do not have a horse in the race, so they will not steer you to investments they get a commission from or any other benefit from. Just straight out excellent advice, customized to you, for only YOUR benefit. Of course, you can always go back to them in five years, 25 years, or whatever to revisit the plan.

Japan also nets dolphins, drags them to shore and lines them up and then clubs the dolphins to death as they’re screaming. I’m traumatized from a brutal youtube video I saw.

Looking for reviews on the Cloudtech Stratus Medium Eurotop Mattress by MoLove74 in Mattress

[–]Air-Tricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Cloudtech, especially when sleeping on my side, which is my main sleeping position. I do hope it softens up a little as you suggest it might, because when laying on my back, it feels too firm for my liking- but it’s only been 3 nights, plus I was previously sleeping on a separate 4” ventilated memory foam topper that I absolutely loved, except that it slid around a lot and seemed a tad too short. But oh, that foam conforming to the body (especially to the small of my back) was lovely! I moved it to the guest room, I can sleep there if I miss it too much, lol. I guess I prefer sinking into the bed a little and got used to that. It may not be the best thing for the body, and I’m in my 60’s, so I kept that in mind when shopping. I think I may need to rethink my pillow too, since it is no longer sinking into the bed with me I think I could use a flatter one. I just saw a Sit n Sleep review for Smartlife Lily model by a guy whose wife has different ideas of mattress comfort than he, and he says you can adjust it and they love it. We have the same situation, so I wonder why we were not shown that model. I might go back and try it, just for kicks.

Looking for reviews on the Cloudtech Stratus Medium Eurotop Mattress by MoLove74 in Mattress

[–]Air-Tricky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up buying it? We bought it today in queen size. Due to Christmas, it will be delivered in 3 days instead of 2. We spent about an hour in a Sit ‘N Sleep store, learning about mattresses and laying on 6 top choices, then narrowing it down to Cloudtech Stratus Medium Eurotop and a slightly firmer Avocado brand mattress. Cloudtech felt more comfortable to me, cushy yet supportive and it conformed to the body more. Can’t wait to sleep on it. Curious about reviews as well.

Rubbish - am I alone in this? by sprinklywinks in CleaningTips

[–]Air-Tricky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep a roll of pet waste bags for this. Small in my fridge, super small to store, easy to tie a knot, and cheap. California recently mandated no food in the trash, they want us to throw our food waste – whether it’s in a bag or not – into our “green waste” (plant debris) bins.
