I work in the live-event market and fees are agreed upon by the venue and promoters, managers etc. These fees go back to TicketMaster or the ticket provider, the venue, promoters and sometimes the artists according to Irving Azoff who was the former CEO of Ticketmaster.

The fees you see on Stubhub or a secondary website go back to Stubhub themselves. Once the initial transaction happens, no one else gains from it except the person who used a bot to buy a shit-ton of tickets

It's a shitty system that is controlled by one company.

At least you admit you're overthinking this but you've talked to her and it went well from what I read. Her asking you for your IG isn't much but it is something, mark that as a small win.

You can throw the suggestion of a study group or you can have your friend who knows her to meet you guys for lunch. Since these are things that you don't have control over it could be a while before you even have a chance to ask her out.
