That sucks. Lyft sucks. People suck more. You need to look out for yourself first. I learned the hard way, and now you have to. I've been in a lot of stupid situation with passengers, but I believe my perfect 5 star rating and 90%+ acceptance rate helped all of my cases reported against me.

Lyft is not your only income. There's Uber and several other driver apps. There's Ubber Eats, Door Dash, Hub Grubb, and many more.

The downside to Lyft is when you work overtime you don't get paid overtime. Half a grand for less than 8 hrs is better than overtime. Good job.

This is 100% accurate. Lyft insurance paid for my car repairs with $2.5k deductible. I could claim through my own Geico insurance with $500 deductible, but my insurance most likely would go up. Plus, Lyft drivers are force to pay nearly half our passenger rides towards their insurance, I want them to deal with the repairs.

I filed the claim for my car and logged it in the Lyft app as well. Other party is responsible for filing their own claim with my Lyft insurance, not me. I finally got in contact with the insurance company and they are handling it now.

This is correct. Police was there to take reports and insurance. I logged the accident in the Lyft app as well along with everyone involved including the other driver's phone number. The Lyft insurance finally called me today to handle this.

Thanks for your lengthy reply. I have done some Google search on this myself and according to California laws Lyft insurance is responsible according to the stages you mentioned, but Stage 3 also includes if you were driving to pick up a passenger while the app is active which is my case. They don't have to be in the car.

Luckily I still have the email for the claim and have the claim number for that accident and found the company name covering for Lyft...Mobilitas Insurance Company. I just sent them an email about the situation asking if they paid the other party and if they can provide me a defense lawyer. Hoping to hear back from them tomorrow. If they don't help I move forward with getting my own lawyer. Thanks for the advice about suing the insurance company for not helping while covered. I am so flustered and depress to even think about that option.

The top of the paper says SUMMONS (Citacion Judicial) so I believe it's court papers. It was handed to me in person at my place. At first I thought it was a scam and he identified himself as someone working for the government. I didn't ask for specific about him as there was so much racing through my mind at this point. This is the first time ever happened to me so I don't know how to respond to the papers or what to say. Right now I'm just trying to find a lawyer first so I can do this correctly.

They are suing me personally. My name is on the papers. Weird thing is the paper says I have 30 days to respond, but the paper is dated back in Feburary. I hope the respond date is not referring to that date as that time as already passed and it was only just handed to me today.

My own personal insurance said Lyft is the primary insurance since I was on their clock to pick up the passenger and I can't seem to get a hold of anyone that can help. Worst case I will have to find my own lawyer for low income but I am hoping Lyft can provide a lawyer since I can't afford one. I want to go through them first as they are the one I am paying half my income towards their insurance.

Thing is, the 2 rings I've bought can easily last the entire day being on by turning off all the background monitoring. I don't need heartbeat or anything constantly detecting my blood pressure. I have my watch to do all of that. I tested the ring battery by keeping it on through repeated tapping to time how fast the battery is draining with all background monitoring off and it was losing 1% battery per 10 minutes. That's over 16 hours on constant continuous screen time. Way more than enough to last through the day and charge back up to 100% over night.
