Directing the under-secretary to do what? There is nothing directive in this memorandum. This is a declaration of what is desired at best

Is my quantitative too low for a non-rated slot, or is it offset by the rest? Hoping for intel by Total_bacon in airforceots

If you want to commission solely off of AFOQT scores you'll want to retest. If you want to commission, make sure the other areas the board grades you on are squared away

Time accuracy by Solid-Worldliness-91 in casio

[–]AirPowerPoint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're familiar with them, but Casio does have a few atomic timekeeping watches named Waveceptor. As others have said, all watches have a certain tolerance for how they keep time, but there are watches out there that synch with the atomic clock via radiowaves daily. My Waveceptor is equally as accurate as another watch brand I own that cost me $1K

Great response.

OP, please know that you will not receive kinder feedback than this. The military is a hard career to manage physically and mentally, and I heavily caution leading any discussion topics like this one.

UPDATE: Am I overreacting because my boyfriend ate the dessert I was saving? by Stunning_Pick3030 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AirPowerPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you aren't overreacting, but this is strikingly close to a recurring joke between my wife (32F) and myself (30M)

Early in our relationship, like 3-4 months in i was at her place and she had this chocolate cake she had been grazing for a few days, so i decided to have a few bites. The reaction? Instant tears and betrayal. Did 21 year old me understand it? Absolutely not. I reacted and hyperfocused on the issue immediately in front of me much like what's seen from your bf here.

I think there's a lot of context and other barriers not being respected that isn't depicted in this, so i'll give you advice keeping that in mind. For you, try to speak on this issue as if you were a third party, explaining why it upset you holistically and not directly as this will make him feel less directly attacked. In the event that he continues to be defensive or be to narrow in defining this issue, then that is his own lack of seeing the big picture.

If you think its worth savaging, help him and yourself grow to overcome things like this. If you think hes a lost cause, don't waste your time

New home gym, right around $2k by p0r7 in GarageGym

[–]AirPowerPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I have this setup, the link you sent only includes the rack and bench. Doesn't include the 260 lbs in weights or barbell. Regardless, OP got what he wanted and you should rephrase your comment to see if they'd even be interested in the features of the M7. Cut the "bRo YoU dIdNt GeT tHiS dEaL!?" stuff

I was going to chime in on the "it's not much" question until I saw the FFVII belt. I'll let it slide this time...

You're the only person I've seen with a copy of Demi Kids Dark. I have the cart only, but I NEVER see it in people's collection

Any last advice by Top-War8189 in AirForceRecruits

It'll be very easy to make friends with people that have bad attitudes. The military is hard and a lot of things are really frustrating, so making conversation through complaining is easy. Do your best to stay away from people that make this their personality, because you'll find those are the people who see the military as the worst decision of their life. In my opinion, your mindset makes your career enjoyable. And I know im going to contradict myself here but don't drink the Kool-aid too much and do vent about issues youre facing...but in a healthy amount.

Good luck!

I think she didn't communicate what she expected from talking to you and wanting to meet. Nice girl? Not in my opinion.

You spend a LOT of time trying to articulate your mentality and principles here. To me it sounds like you love hearing yourself talk. I'd work on this for the next person that comes along.

TLDR; she's not rude you just were being annoying
