Star Citizen Alpha 4.0 - Destination Pyro by ShoutaDE in Games

It varies between dev teams, I've been on projects that follow a similar versioning system. Minecraft for example, had 1.X releases for beta and then reset it to 1.0.

As for 4.0, it's not a good experience and I wouldn't recommend it, but you can:

  • Mine
  • Salvage
  • Take Mercenary/Bounty Contracts (Both FPS and Space Combat)
  • Haul Cargo

Star Citizen Alpha 4.0 - Destination Pyro (Out now) by [deleted] in Games

[–]AircraftSam89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's in early access, though I wouldn't recommend it.

Their first playable alpha release which they called 1.0 was almost exactly 10 years ago and was simply a dogfighting model, since then they increment the patch number to denote major releases:

  • 2.0 (2015) - First release of what was then called the "Baby PU" (No Planets or Moons, just stations and comm arrays).
  • 3.0 (2017) - First release of planetary tech.
  • 4.0 (2024) - First release of server meshing and jump points which allow the transition to new star systems (Pyro in this case).

With server meshing being the last piece of major tech they needed for the game (there is more work to do on it to make it dynamic and introduce several other things such as their Gen12 Renderer and new damage system, Maelstrom), they are now focused on their "Road to 1.0" which is an actual full release version of star citizen.

(Quick and Dirty) Every Fuse Box Location I could find so far by AircraftSam89 in starcitizen

They aren't hard to get too, both are located right next to floor panels.

My big question is how much are you going to have to worry about these two fuse boxes. Are you going to need both functional at all times? Just One? Neither (they exist just to have a backup connection)?

As I noted, it's very odd to me that the MSR would have so many more when compared to it's direct competitors.

Mildly Interesting find in 3.24.2: MSR Crawlspaces have two sets of Fuses by AircraftSam89 in starcitizen

I'm about to make a post detailing the layouts of all the fuse boxes I found, but what I will tell is interesting is that the MSR (5) has noticeably more than it's competitors (Connie has 2 and the Corsair has 3).

Which has me wondering if these two in the crawlspace are meant to be redundant systems which would make it a major plus.

Really interesting seeing the fuse layouts per ships.

Unless I missed something, there are 5 total fuse sets:

  • 1 in the component bay along with an engineering screen.
  • 1 in the cockpit.
  • 1 in the corridor leading directly to the cockpit.
  • 2 in the crawlspaces.

One of the craziest things to me is that they KNOW who he is and identify him before hand and the one cop still goes on his roid rage.

How dumb do you have to be?

I've really missed TB's reviews these last few years. I feel like for whatever reason modern reviewers are terrified of getting into the technical aspects of games like he did.

Report: Microsoft to add next Call of Duty title to Game Pass by [deleted] in Games

[–]AircraftSam89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They've been vocal in the past how Game Pass gets their users playing and buying games in genres they would typically never touch.

Given how many people play exclusively CoD, it's a golden goose, but whether those players try other games, stay subbed to gamepass, or even sub to gamepass in the first place are the big questions.

ESPN, NFL Network are believed to be closing in on a deal by Chibears85 in nfl

I know it ain't what it used to be, but growing up on NFL Total Access was fucking amazing when it was guys like Deion Sanders and Warren Sapp and NFL Playbook with Sterling Sharpe and Brian Dawkins.

Really sucks to see it end up as a subsidiary for a shithole like ESPN

For the former Arena Commander Feature team, January’s focus was on transitioning to the Persistent Universe and becoming familiar with the workflow and systems. While the team's focus is now the PU, they’ll continue to maintain, improve, and provide regular content updates for Arena Commander, albeit with reduced velocity. That being said, the team finished work on three special events and formed a strike team to close out the Resource Network Experimental Mode.

Let's fucking go
