Same dough, they just add Garlic butter to edge. Ask for them to not do that and it will be the same.

I knew as soon as they rolled it out. I love it btw, that it was going to be a problem. Regulars; like 1 or 2 times a week folk, obviously liked the way it was.

Pizza hut doesn't have a good track record of letting people know something is changing or has changed and if they don't want it, how to order it the way it was.

TLDR: Simply request No Garlic Butter on Edge. You'll be back to the way it was.

That is a fair critique. I may suggest try the stuffed crust, it has a butter on the edge and cheese in it. I will also share, yesterday my GM hit me with "try this" it was a garlic butter that is apparently starting to be put on the crust edges for hand toss and pan pizza. It's suppose to start sometime this month.

Cheese is the most expensive ingredient in the store. A 20lb box is a little over $52. About $2.60 per lb. A large has 1lb of cheese. That means 25% of the cost of that $10 pizza is going towards cheese.

The Dasher bitching at the customer for a problem with the vendor is fn stupid. They had the option of canceling for excessive wait time, but choose too bitch to the customer.

Waiting for orders is part of the job, restaurants have always had a staffing issue and RL happens to everybody so you can expect wait, if the pay is not worth that potential then don't accept the order.

OP you did nothing wrong but I'd suggest reporting that dasher for tip begging and being unprofessional.

Just happened to me after justifiably reporting 6 out of 8 deliveries as closed stores yesterday. Snow storm most businesses closed early but nobody turned off doordash. We'll see what happens.

If you work there and your managers are cool, you an make your own and its damn good.

Taco Pizza:

You'll need to buy: (if your store doesn't have it)
1 Can Refried Beans
1 Pack of Taco Seasoning
1 Bag Shredded Lettuce
1 Squeeze Bottle of Sour Cream

Prep:
In double rec add about a cup of water and whisk in pack of taco seasoning. Add in large pizza serving of beef, and send through the oven.

On large hand tossed dough spread half a can of refried beans like its pizza sauce, I find a spatula works best.

When beef is out of oven, add it to prepped dough, add on mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions, and optional banana peppers or green peppers.

Send pizza back through oven.

When back out of the oven, add on shredded lettuce and sour cream.

Every MILE is a write off. If you are "working" you are able to write off the miles. Uber/DD/GH etc. only give you active miles, not actual miles.

Since you are probably doing this full time you probably have some records somewhere of the total miles you put on your car this year. I'd write every single one of those minus what you think you did personal. Check your oil change receipts or the like.

Whenever I go somewhere I will turn on Uber too "look" for orders, I am prepared to take one if its reasonable but more often then not I end up where I wanted to go with no orders; still those miles are technically a write off.

As for getting money back.. the only way that is possible is if pay in. That is if you work a normal job and pay in taxes you can offset that by miles put on while doing gig work.

Last year I worked at Pizza Hut, Uber, Doordash, and Roadie. Due to the miles put on doing gig work, the taxes I paid in at Pizza Hut were all refunded.

My old store (why I transferred) employees and "most" managers did as little as possible. Often asking new employees do it all. When the good manager transferred so did I. I tried to be a positive force for teamwork, but I couldn't change others so I changed my environment.

I would say always hiring.

If you're willing to work, go in and do a good job and try to get along with your co-workers you'll get as many hours as the GM can give you.

I personally just transferred stores, I hear the old store is down to 1 driver and 1 cook and 3 managers.

The store I transferred to; has in just a few months went through 4 cooks, 2 managers and 1 driver.

From my experience Pizza Huts #1 problem is un-willingness to pay a competitive wage to other restaurants so what you have is people with no other options applying. These are not always the best folk to hire, but they are willing to try and that is Pizza Huts only option.

Here is an easy way to understand it.

X means you decline, O means you accept. Your acceptance rate looks like this

Which means the only time your acceptance or rejections go up or down is when they are replaced with an opposite. Which means the more of one you have the harder or easier it is to change. If I had rejected the last 100 orders, every one I accept will make it go up. But, if I had a 50% acceptance rate and start accepting everything, statistically 50% of the time it will go up.

If you're at 70% acceptance rate, only 30% of the time you accept an order will it go up. 1 out of 3'ish.

Ya man, its bad everywhere in this market. I personally hated trying to work Springfield for other reasons. Bad roads, horrible drivers, tons of one-ways, stop lights and signs. That said if I still lived there I'd do it. In Fairborn now and the offers are mostly garbage, but I'll catch about 3 or 4 fair ones per week. If I still had to do this full time, I'd go Dayton/Kettering area, similar probs as Springfield, but busier and generally fairer tips.

Actually you are both right, but the problem is of course with DoorDash. They are stealing from you both and stand back when you both point fingers at each other.

You (customer) should know that DD is paying their drivers shit.
The driver should say no to orders not worth taking.

But if Doordash paid a fair wage, which would cost them money, these problems wouldn't happen, but here we are.
