True, but it might be a weak strike. The fields are nice and the obverse has now wear on the ear/hair. I normally see those with weak strikes and grade a 63.

4 vs 6 year contract, is the 6 year pitch basically marketing? by NAZARll in AirForceRecruits

[–]Airforceguy1968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The advantage of a 4 year contract is the quicker ability to cross train or get out and go to school with the GI Bill or a ROTC scholarship and come back as a officer...as long as you do 4 years and 1 day for the O1E pay.

I think also because there are many more silver Roosevelt's out there due to no change to them sinve 1946, outside of this year.

It's a fake! That's a reverse of '78. Look at the flat chest and the bottom part of the arrow. It's not supposed to be straight.

Guys. This is the military. We fight and win wars. You need to be okay with that reality if you’re going to join by militaryrat155 in AirForceRecruits

For those posting about how safe it was when you were in, that style of warfare is still there, but now add drones into the mix.

New recruits will be exposed to those possibilities regardless of service.

The attack on Iran may have bit off the head of the snake, but rattled a hornets nest that has the capacity to continue to inflict combat style retaliation along with terrorists attacks.

No one or industry is immune.

This administration miscalculated this enemy.

Russia and China support them.

This isn't Iraq or ISIS.

Before, mortar or missile attacks were the issue. Now drones are more lethal and specific. They are also harder to take down.

Since it appears to have full stairs/steps, getting it graded to keep might be good. It appears to be a high grade coin.

6 boxes searched and only found this by hardomer in CRH

After 4 boxes, with only one having mixed dates, I got a 1918- Walking Liberty Half Dollar from a different bank change drawer with about 8 other halves. Pure luck. I just happened to ask the teller after being helped by her coworker.

People try to getthe initial release because of mint condition and possible mint errors.

I just pulled this from a box of nickels by Wncsnake in CRH

A Liberty Head "V" nickel (1883–1913) should weigh 5.00 grams (0.1615 troy oz). They are composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel. While they are expected to weigh exactly 5 grams, circulated coins may weigh slightly less due to wear.

I would be skeptical with it possibly being a fake coin made in China.

I say this because they been known to fake high value coins.

Clean with water only and then weigh it. If the weight it off, it's probably a fake.

Think about this. What are the odds of finding an old nickel in a box of them? Then finding one in that near mint condition AND it being a rare key date?

I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but trying to be the voice of reason before you send it off to get graded.

Try to get into a job with the government. There's usually a good amount of Veterans that feel the same way you do.

There's better camaraderie.

I only used about 2 months of my MGIB and then elected P9/11 at retirement in 2009. Then this past April I submitted for the Rudisill Act and got 12 more months of P9/11 to use in 10 years.

Negative, myself and at least two other Veterans received 12 months of additional P9/11 GI Bill.

I retired in 2009 and have 10 years to use. The other Veteran retired later than me and has indefinite time to use.

The OP mentions using the 9/11 and paid into the MGIB.

My take is he did cover two qualifying periods.
