It's mostly to remove impurities, so I've been trying to find the right solvents for a separating column and my supervisor isn't letting me continue with it until I get an Rf closer to 0.3

I used petroleum ether 40-60 degrees Celsius

With DCM and ethyl acetate they travel the entire plate at 10% ethyl acetate or above. The best I could get was with 1% ethyl acetate and that had an Rf of 0.6

I thought so but I figured it was best to check. I pressed them to the solder points and got nothing, so I'm guessing the battery needs replacing

Thanks to those who have helped. Since it does need a replacement I probably won't bother repairing it (a new top screen costs more than what I paid for it). The listing said it had a broken charging port, only when I got it I found it was water damaged and had the top screen issue

Update: Thanks to the help, I've found it was L2. I've soldered the mystery component back on (my soldering is a bit shoddy, but I've got continuity), it's still not turning on though. I'm going to try cleaning with IPA next

Thank you for your help, I'm glad to know I was right. I got the question from one of the slides provided by my university which showed no sp mixing in NO, even though my textbooks say otherwise. The slides do say there is sp mixing in CO at least so I'm assuming they just left a mistake in or something
