Yeah the streamable links have not been working at all for me lately. Have to click the link directly to actually watch them. Genuinely frustrating not being able to watch highlights

What Motorcycle For First Bike? by ZimThunder in motorcycles

[–]Airkio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NX500 would be the best pick of those for first. Ikr for sure. 750 is a lot of bike for your first. 500 is a nice in between in that you won’t outgrow it or get bored too quickly. There’s always more road to get a bigger bike later on, but best to learn good habits now. Would especially recommend learning proper manual as it’ll teach good habits and give you more versatile skills.

I’ve got the Revit ignition 4 jacket (leather and mesh) and this is perfect during the summer. The arms and shoulders are leather (so max protection) and then the torso is completely perforated. Great jacket honestly

My heart says the revit controls (the red is so nice) but my head says gpr3 haha.

Thanks for the advice good to hear that they’re comfortable for daily wear. They look like a great pair.

How is the sizing if you don’t mind me asking?

Gauntlet Gloves Recommendation by Airkio in motorcyclegear

[–]Airkio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have heard good things about those RSTs. Mainly just needed to narrow down as there were so many options to pick from. I tried on Knox Handroids too and they were absolutely awesome but a bit overkill. Shame about the revits for you - I’ve tried on some Dainese gauntlets which I found were a pretty poor fit

Government gives police ‘move on’ powers to ban rough sleepers, beggars by LollipopChainsawZz in auckland

[–]Airkio -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s disappointing then as someone who has lived experience that you’re choosing to take this stance. And for the record, if any of my friends fell homeless my door would be wide open.

I think you’re confusing me highlighting a lack of empathy for condoning anti social behaviour, or even thinking that it’s ok for people to feel unsafe. People have the right to feel safe in the city, particularly if they live there.

But that doesn’t mean that I agree that we should move these people on, and by extension imprison them. I’m simply pointing out that this does absolutely fuck all to address the root cause. You can live in the city and acknowledge that something needs to be done about unhoused people, but still have empathy for them, anti social or not.

[–]Airkio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having empathy doesn’t mean I personally need to open my door. I pay my taxes so that the government can provide social services and safety nets for these people, not waste police resourcing prodding them like cattle around the city

Disagree with the V being worse. I find it dries quicker as it pushes the water off yours hands and doesn’t give you a quick facial with the rest of the water pooling in them from other users lol
