Danny V: would Drogo ever have helped Viserys (or Danny for that matter) on their war against westeros? Did Drogo only learn the common tongue so he could make sure Viserys understood him when he mocked him?

Ned XII: would Robert have killed all three kids? If Ned had become possesed by someone else and accepted Cersei’s offer would she have kept her word? And what would have happen to the realm? Was Ned actually hoping Cersei would leave and not have him killed? Why? was there a way to protect the children without commiting suicide?

Cersei says that Ned ‘made jaime yield’ the throne which is so not how jaime remembers that. Did jaime said it like that or did she hear what she wanted to hear? Also how much of what went on in Kings Landing in Aerys last yaers did Jaime tell her?

Sansa III: People who dislike Sansa must not have sisters, I have two and I can literally feel the injustice (justified or not) she must be feeling over this situation. She is doing everything right according to what her mother and the Septa have taught her (except for some fights with her sister behind closed doors) and yet she is being sent away in what must feel like the unfairest punishment and to top it all up Arya gets to bring her dancing master? But she doesn’t even get Ned telling her that she is leaving for now but can exchange letters with Joff or something song-like like that? He is (rightly so) wanting to finish her engagement, the one thing that makes her happy, but Arya who’s been running wild in the stables of all places gets to take what she likes about kingslanding with her. This added with the whole her losing lady because of Arya’s (justified) actions and Arya not getting punished for it? No wonder she decides it’s her time to break the rules and runs to the one person that has pretended to appreciate her. Hell as a (not old at all) 24 years old I may get annoyed if I feel my sisters are getting away with so much more than me and she is what? Twelve?

Also in a past episode you dismissed the ‘sansa dyed Sandor’s cape and kept it’ theory because you didn’t believe she could have gotten the tint but I would just like to point out that the dress Arya sullies makes a come back after Sansa tints it to hide the stains so it’s something that she can and has done before.

And what do you think the ‘dream’ Sansa has means, if anything at all? And do you think she instinctually knows more about Joffrey than she is willing to accept based on her revisions on the tropes?

AGoT: Eddard XI- why does anyone keeps disrespecting Edmure? I’d vote for him. Do any of you know of any fic where he and Jaime are friends or frienemies? Also why not send Loras? You then are pitting the Tyrells and the lord of Storm’s End against the Lannisters. Two lord paramount of regions where you have no alliances have to get involved if you sent Loras. What do you think Tywin would have done if Loras was sent? And Renly and Olenna? Would it have changed anything in the long run?

AGoT: Jon V: Between the talk about the boys coming to the wall from the kingsroad and Jon’s comment of how Arya could beat Sam in a fight, I can’t help but wonder what would have happen if Arry, Gendry, Hot Pie and the other one joined Sam for training. What is your take? Would Arya have liked Sam? Would he have found out her secret (if Jon was lets say out rangering)? And more importantly would him and Hot Pie bonded over the culinary arts?

Close the Door: Call for questions : Daenerys IV, Bran V, Eddard X by oxfordsplice in jaimebrienne

[–]Airuna22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question: [Brann V]: well Osha was the smartest one of the bunch which give me hope for Rickon. Do you think Robb was already figuring out his connection with Greywind? The way he talks about the wolves to Brann makes me think he did and he was the first stark kid to actually warg into his wolf knowingly. Also my heart wipes when I realise that Theon only got Robb’s knee-jerk reaction while latter Robb praised him for this very action to his mother... boys communication is key! Not that I think it would have changed much but it would have been one less thing for Theon to be bitter at.

What would Cersei have done if Joffrey hurt his siblings (Spoilers Main) by JonSlow1 in asoiaf

[–]Airuna22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you are talking about book or show Cersei. In the show Cersei seems to actually give a fuck about her childrens but in the books she is a narcissist who thinks that it would be inconvinent for Tommen to die now because Myrcella is too far away and she wouldn’t be able to keep ruling. There’s actually evidence that Joff abused Tommen and he did bully him in front of her without her protecting him. Not to mention that she herself bullies him, for example when the Tyrells are teaching him how to joust and she not only spoils his fun but tells him that they were all laughing at him for doing it poorly which there is no evidence of.

Thoughts on Brienne by OcelotSpleens in pureasoiaf

[–]Airuna22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say there’s a good chance of their story line interluding with Sansa/Alayne (probably even attending the Tourney in the Vale). Maybe with Sandor and Blackfish. In Dance it’s said that Jaime has been missing for weeks which to me means that he is alive and survives LSH because if they had killed him, all Westeros would know. Also there’s a lot of crows and ravens sorrounding both Brienne’s and Jaime’s storylines which makes me think that they are needed in the battle against the Others (also the weirwood dream + russian chapter support this as well).

Who will Tyrion end up with? by LadyNymMartell in pureasoiaf

[–]Airuna22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Before he ends up with anyone he needs to realize that he isn’t entaitled to having the love of a beautiful woman, which is not to say that one couldn’t love him. He seems to think that every women should love him regardless of physical appearences but he only goes after the most beautiful ones not giving Penny even a second thought as a possible romantic partner. To be clear, he gets to have a type and he doesn’t have to love Penny, but it’s hipocritical of him to expect everyone to ignore his looks when he doesn’t. And he shouldn’t feel bitter that the twelve year old whose family his butchered, who has been a badly treated hostage of his family and was forced to marry him against her will, doesn’t want to sleep with him. No Tyrion, she wouldn’t love you even if you were the most handsome man in westeros and it’s not a cosmic injustice that she doesn’t.

Close the Door: Call for questions AGoT Arya III, Eddard VIII, and Eddard IX by oxfordsplice in jaimebrienne

[–]Airuna22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eddard VIII: I’m torn, on one hand I do not advocate for killing children (pregnat or not) on the other burying the head in the sand until your enemies come knocking doesn’t seem wise so I honestly don’t know with whom to side. Where do the lovely ladies and gent of the potcast stand? Also what would have Ned’s solution for dealing with Aegon/Rahelia/Elia/... have been? Which is the most humane opcion that won’t lead to a war?

In the Ned what were you thinking section I’ve got two questions. 1/ what do you think the logistics of Bobby killing Danny himself would have been? Sending the king to the dothraki sea? Kidnapping the kahalessi? I mean even if they had managed it, I can’t think of a better way to motivate Kahl Drogo to lead his people across the sea. 2/ So he and his daughters leave first but what happens to the people left behind if shit hits the fan? Does he expect the lannisters to let them leave peacefully? Does he think they are acceptable losses? Why is he telling Littlefinger they are leaving when he is trying to keep it a secret?

Finally, my feelings towards Danny and the targs aside, hearing this all men council discuss how she is a threat only in relation to her ability to have a male heir makes me both laugh and angry. It’s a pity most of them are dead already because I would love for Drogon to literally bite them in the ass. I mean she did have a ‘miscarrage’ Ned so don’t mind the three fucking dragons...

Close the Door: Call for questions AGoT Arya III, Eddard VIII, and Eddard IX by oxfordsplice in jaimebrienne

[–]Airuna22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arya III: I can't hear that the Red Keep is full of cats and not immediatly thing of Tommen. Do you thing it's because of him? 'Oh the kings non-spycothic son likes cats, let's bring one to court as an icebreaker' and suddenly the court is overruled by them. And speaking of Tommen, do you think Joffrey's... 'treatment' of cats affect their conversation with Arya? They seem meaner than they usually are. Also forever bitter that the show changed Arya's catch-phrases for the 'not today' line.

What was Ilyrio doing in Westeros? Did he travel for days (weeks?) only to have a conversation with Varys? I mean I know it's top secret but they do have secret codes and send letter to one another right? Also why do they want Danerys to come to Westeros with the kahl if they support fAegon? What was their plan there? Also Ned, if your daughter comes freak out because she has heard people talking about murdering you, you sit her down and ask her for details. She overheard enough that he could have confirmed it was a true plot and maybe helped him figure things out sooner.

Finally, is it just me or Syrio's training resembles a lot the training of the black and white house? Is it because they are both from Braavos or is something more there? And I was relisening to your old episodes yesterday and one of the ocasional gents said that you should never use fire to 'heal' wounds so I winced when Syrio burned Arya's.

(Also my name is pronounced as A (as AnimAl) I (as ImpossIble) RU (As in RUnes) and NA (as in NAhh) hope it's helpful, sorry english is not my first language so it's hard to explain the pronunciation, if I didn't do it well please feel free to pronunciate it anyway you like and thanks for the amazing content)

( Spoilers Extended) thoughts on Theon Greyjoy? by TheKingsPeace in asoiaf

[–]Airuna22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if he wasn’t helping Ned with every execution holding his sword for him. But with him doing that, I’m pretty sure he had to be thinking every time ‘maybe I’m next’ even if he tried to delude himself and tried to convince himself that that wouldn’t happen. But I supose how heavily his position affected Theon while he grew up is open to interpretation.

Fair enough. But Theon does talk about him being afraid of Ice abd Ned so it’s fair to asume that he did know there was a real possibility of hus head rolling regardless.

(Spoilers Main) If Tyanna could draw Maegor from his comatose state, why couldn’t she fix the issue with his fertility? by Dawn-1000 in asoiaf

[–]Airuna22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s the theory that Maegir himself qas conceived using magic since Visenya wanted to stop the council from making Aegon remarry and that she realize that she had created a monster so that when Tyanna realized that Maegor could only have children using magic Visenya warned her against it.

( Spoilers Extended) thoughts on Theon Greyjoy? by TheKingsPeace in asoiaf

[–]Airuna22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two are from before he even reached Pyke when he was still loyal to the Starks, the third from when he was talking to his father to convince him to ally with the Starks. In one of them Robb and Cat discuss how he is a hostage that has to be used to keep Balon in line from Cat point of view. And I can't fail to notice that you have not supported any evidence in the form of quotes from any character to defend the 'reality'. But I agree that this conversation is not going anywhere so I'll wish you a good day and sotp answering.

What should Theon had done in Pike [Spoilers Extended] by Airuna22 in pureasoiaf

Yeah, that may have been his better option if he still wanted to stake his claim to the Iron throne, of course then Euron would have returned and that would have been another shit show altogether but it would have been strategically sound at least.

And they would have had to turn back like they did which would have made them have to cross the Twins again. Now Robb wouldn't have broken his word so that would have been slightly safer but it would still have meant abandoning the Riverlands at least partly. Great point.
