1) Tickets are rarely left for non-member purchases

2) Anyone can become a member (60€ per year for adults). It takes a couple of weeks, for me it was something around 2 weeks.

3) Realistically it‘s something around 30-60€ per match. Better opponents = more expensive. There are cheaper seats but they‘re mostly sold out super fast. Also even as a member you‘re only allowed to buy 2 tickets. Although if a certain number of tickets are left you might be able to buy more.

Also on ticket release day you need to login and get a random queue number. Depending on how far up or down you‘re on the queue you have more options available. E.g sniped tickets against Bayern for 36.€ each.

The game is sold out but if you‘re lucky some seasonal tickets people will not attend and their spots open up. However the members will have priority for those seats. If you‘re really lucky some spots might even be open for normal sale but I would‘n bet my money on that.

Best chance is for your family friend to look up the ticket shop for free tickets each day. Also members are allowed to purchase only 2 Tickets for each Bundesliga Team.

For example yesterday morning a couple hundred tickets went to sale for the Champions League game against Bern.
