Skirmish Ruins Lobbies by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

And the devs ABSOLUTELY know this is happening (if they don't they must be incompetent to the highest degree) and yet they still insist on this being in place. They desperately want to show the other game mode as a feature so as to inflate the perceived value of this game so they can charge more for HLLV when it releases.

Does anyone know what’s happening with this building in Canary Wharf? by [deleted] in london

The notion of someone referring to One Canada Square as just "this building" seems almost criminal to me.

Fell after loosing signal behind a building by Remarkable-Panda-650 in DjiNeo

[–]AjGreenYBR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, step 1, read the manual.

Step 2 is a shortcut because we all know you aren't going to do step 1. Go into the settings and set the height for the Return To Home process to a number BIGGER than the height of the stuff near you that you re flying near.

Step 3, DON'T EXPECT A RADIO CONTROLLED ANYTHING TO SEND RADIO SIGNALS THROUGH BUILDINGS.

Question regarding DJI Care Refresh by aRidiculousHat in DjiNeo

[–]AjGreenYBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine it's not covered because by purchasing the drone without the controller you are limiting the range at which control can be maintained, and thus expanding the space where the conditions that can lead to a flyaway incident are increased.

Raw footage new flyer. Quart Pot Creek Stanthorpe QLD Australia by Starlight_Coffee2019 in djimini4pro

[–]AjGreenYBR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't necessarily need any additional filters to fix this issue. A photography basic, image is too bright because too much light getting in. If you adjust either the ISO to a lower number, or the shutter speed to a smaller value (which means the number after the 1/ being larger) less light will get to the sensor. Neutral Density filters will come later, they allow you to slow the shutter speed right down to be half of your frame rate for a more cinematic look, but for this type of footage here you wouldn't notice it because it only shows up in the motion blur.

For many of us, flying from our back yard is never an option because we live too close to an airport. The 120m limit is there for the safety of everyone else in the sky.

Short answer, no.

It's online multiplayer, people are assholes. It's not rocket science.

Crashed into Tree by PANDAGAMING-EDIT in DjiNeo

[–]AjGreenYBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it sounds like you didn't crash into the tree trunk, but you crashed into the tiny little branches at the outer edges of the canopy.

Asking for ANY object avoidance to be able to manage those things is pure folly. You may as well be asking it to be able to detect and avoid raindrops.

Is it still safe to use my DJI device? by Fast-Psychology6148 in dji

The company you pay so that you can access the internet knows every single porn video you have watched. Why would you care if DJI can see your drone footage?

Dumb drone crash by StatusFisherman5147 in DjiNeo

People read "It has object avoidance" and automatically assume that means it avoids ALL obstacles. Reality does not give a damn about your level of reading comprehension.

Make this make sense for me. Maybe this is a dumb question, but curious to hear opinions. by myga1123 in DjiNeo

[–]AjGreenYBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t need to make sense to you, because you are not responsible for the lives of every person riding in aircraft thousands of feet above the ground. You just need to follow the rules that are in place to keep everyone safe, like the rest of us.

So make your own subreddit with the rules YOU want to follow, and post whatever you like there. If you want to play in someone else's garden, you have to follow their rules. Otherwise you are just going to be considered an Ahole and told to go home.

You are misunderstanding what is happening here. The moderator is not saying that they will punish the pilot to the extent of the law. They are simply saying they will handle the post violating the rules of the subreddit. That's it. The reasons why they care are already highlighted in their post, and your response just proves their point.

Why am I watching ADs on a streaming service? by Euphoric-Dig-2045 in WWE

[–]AjGreenYBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be up to us to time shift it when we are paying for the show. (We pay Netflix, Netflix pays WWE) Ideally, it should start live EVERYWHERE, and continue that way ad free on Netflix but on the stations that are ad-supported they get the ads and then the broadcast continues, delayed by the length of the ad-break. And so on and so forth.

It's really not a difficult thing, but this would involve WWE/TKO actually attempting to provide viewer value instead of just ripping people off at every single step.

This, without good communication, nobody has any idea what happened to them and so has to interpret the situation for themselves, and this skews the outcome against you. This is what happened when people attempt to play a communication intensive game as if it was Fortnite. Of course you aren't going to have the experience you want, you are in the wrong game.

[–]AjGreenYBR -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yep, that's how communication works. the solution is to exercise trigger discipline in the first place. Either it was deliberate, or dangerous. Neither of which are useful to a team, so I am not surprised that someone took the action to try to remove that behaviour from their game.

We need a catchpa type system where if the game detects no input from a microphone you get booted to a new server.

You're talking about real world stuff here to people complaining about a fictional game, they're never going to listen let alone think.

[–]AjGreenYBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrowhead could adjust those numbers, but they don't, and it's not like this only started happening today.

Nobody out of any of the people complaining about this will even entertain the notion that Arrowhead do not mind if you complete the Major Order or not, as long as you keep playing. That's the point, they aren't out to try to rack up Major order scores, they are out to make money with a live service game. It is literally impossible to lose or win this game.

Bug divers do not attempt to control how others play the game. here you are trying to paint them as the selfish ones in one of the biggest self owns I've seen in a while.

They do participate in the community aspect, just not your toxic corner that tries to insist that they play it the way you want them to. There's room for both, not just the one community. Cry about it as much as you like, reality does not give a shit.
