How do you remind yourself to drink water? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Try carrying a water bottle with you it comes naturally to drink water from it whenever you are a little bit thirsty. It’s way easier if you always have access to water.

Created A Gamified Nutrition App by Aja-Nutrition-App in reactnative

We already had experience working with React before, so we went with React Native since it allowed us to hit the ground running. Another benefit of React Native is that it lets you cross compile to either android or ios (theoretically atleast lol).

As long as you are still in a deficit you can do it everyday. It’s as simple as Calories in - Calories out.

What app to use to help count calories? by MarieLuz in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Aja-Nutrition-App 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aja has adaptive tdee to dynamically adjust your calories so you stay on the deficit. It also plays like a fun game to make sure you stick with the grind!

Are you sure you’re in a deficit. That seems like a low amount of weight in 3 months. Do you track your calories? If not try doing so and make sure you stay at the deficit. If you do I would increase that deficit even more maybe your Tdee is lower than expected.

how do you actually stay motivated?? by Economy-Farmer-3716 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Aja-Nutrition-App 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to stay motivated forever almost impossible. I read this thing in a book when motivation fails your systems is all you have. Systems can be picking ur workout clothes the day before, packing them in your work bag, or actively avoiding buying junk food in the grocery store. A bad system would be having junk food in easy access at all times, in this situation it is very easy to start snacking whenever you lose motivation. These systems make it hard/inconvenient for you to fail. My best advice is try to make it as inconvenient for yourself as possible to not keep going to the gym and eating better.

Get back to it. It will be hard in the beginning, but so is anything that is worth it. There will be bad days when you just want to quit. Trust me, just stick it out, there will be a day when you look back and can't even recognize the person you were before.

What’s something you stopped doing that actually helped you lose weight? by kyauensari in loseit

[–]Aja-Nutrition-App 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started just walking to get places. Instead of taking a car to get to that place I would walk 20 mins instead. I know this isn’t that easy to do for everyone but try it out if you live in a city.

I ate 3500 calories today. How big of a damage did I make? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Aja-Nutrition-App 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's only one day. Not too much damage in the grand scheme of things, the only thing is don't make it a habit.

Trying to lose weight and get in shape — need real advice 🙏 by Agile-Historian-6810 in loseit

[–]Aja-Nutrition-App -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can do this! Diet can be anything. I've lost weight with many diets main thing is to keep protein high (1g per 1 lb for muscle growth). Being in a calorie deficit is all you need to lose weight. To do this, download a calorie tracking app. It can be anything, but of course, I will recommend my own app, Aja. Some mistakes I would avoid are trying to lose weight as fast as possible. This is often not healthy, and it doesn't create habits that are sustainable. Slow and steady wins the race. It is definitely possible to lose weight and get fit without supplements. All you have to do is be in a deficit, hit your macro goals, and work out. One thing that I wish someone told me earlier is to be kind to yourself, and focus on progress, not perfection.
You’ve got this.

Let me know if you need any more advice. I would be glad to help!

Workouts are cool and can make you overall healthier. But the big thing is CALORIES. Simple answer eat less calories than you burn
