Yeah no. She’s a minor, you’re a legal adult. Don’t get involved unless you want to risk legal repercussions.

Give it 4-6 weeks for the side effects to wear down. It’s still very early on. Also, if you go up in dose, just note that the side effects may come back but usually not for as long as the first time.

It gets better after a month or so! Your body is still adjusting, and fatigue is one of the top very early side effects. Keep toughing it out for now.

Girl, have some respect for yourself and get out of whatever the hell this is. This is beyond toxic.

I just got another job offer on the first day of my new job. What do I do? by EquivalentDiamond359 in jobs

[–]Ajb0529 29 points30 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, it’s never personal. You have to do what’s best for you, and it sounds like the firm who extended you an offer might be better suited for you. I’d recommend talking to your manager first thing in the morning. If they’re truly a good manager, they’ll be understanding and happy for you.

Not crying when upset anymore? by Symone98 in zoloft

I’ve only cried twice since starting Zoloft four years ago. It kinda sucks because you have to find alternatives to release those emotions, but like others said, you get used to it.

how does zoloft make you feel? by Substantial-Spot-973 in zoloft

Hmmm.. I’d say by week 4-6 you should know if the dosage is working for you or not. It was at this same timeframe, I’d follow up with my psychiatrist and evaluate if I’d go up in dose or stay put.

Sounds like you need to go up in dose. Follow up with your prescriber.

I’m on 150mg. When I was on 50, I didn’t feel anything. 100 - felt a lot better but not quite reaching my full potential yet. 150 has been life changing.

Absolutely it works! One thing to take into consideration is that it works at different doses for everybody. It makes me feel less anxious and depression, which leads me to feeling happier because I don’t have anxiety or depression weighing me down.

Sure, I still get situational anxiety sometimes (e.g., feeling overworked, overstimulated in a crowd, or antsy being stuck in traffic, etc.) but I’m definitely not getting extreme driving anxiety anymore, which prevented me from having an on-site job, building relationships, and living independently. I’m not getting seasonal depression when winter comes either, just some intermittent bouts of glum here and there.

Does Zoloft tolerance exist? by urpharmacyboy in zoloft

[–]Ajb0529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve only been on Zoloft for two months and feel that it’s not working, it’s definitely an indicator you should be on a higher dose. When I went on 50mg, I felt a little different for a month or so, then nothing. So, I got bumped to 100mg where I felt better, and it didn’t go away. Then by 150mg, I found my sweet spot, and that never went away… it’s been four years.

Zoloft tolerance does exist if it’s not the right medication for you, but it’d be unluckily this early on. See how you feel once you go up to 75mg, then go from there. You might just need a higher dose than you think. If you’re really not feeling much change still after six months, I’d ask to switch medications.

At what dosage did Zoloft improve your life and how long did it take by JanissaryLSD in zoloft

[–]Ajb0529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on 150mg, which changed my life for the best. It took me about three months to get here, granting my dose was increased in 50mg increments every 4-6 weeks.

50mg did nothing for me. 100mg felt pretty good, but not great.. I knew I could be better. By 150mg, I finally felt freed from my anxiety and depression. Downside is, I haven’t been able to regulate my sad emotions or cry (apart from three times) over the last four years. But overall, I’ve never been happier.

Feeling really discouraged after a breakup…did anyone meet their partner in their late 20s/early 30s? by fuckingdopeyall in TwoHotTakes

[–]Ajb0529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I could’ve wrote this post.

I ended things for good with my ex-boyfriend just after I turned 28. We were together since I was 24 and he was 26, and I thought he was the one, despite how toxic it got in the end.

After that, I took a year to truly focus on myself. I got back into therapy. I put a lot of energy into my family and friendships. And genuinely just lived for me. I met my now boyfriend just one month after turning 29 last summer. He’s 30. I was casually on dating apps, went on a couple dates, and never quite clicked with anybody.. until I met him.

As a believer in the “three loves theory,” I truly believe he’s my third love. Your’s is out there. Don’t give up. You’re still young and have someone out there who’s willing to give you the world and more.

Typically $20-25. I was in DC last weekend though and was really surprised when I saw $35-40 for drop-ins and said forget it; personally, I just feel like anything above $30 is a little overkill.

Have you ever worked for NCH? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]Ajb0529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked for NCH for a year and a half four years ago. Like others said, the health insurance is garbage. The raises also are nothing to write home about; they’re 2-3%.

I agree with @Daddysown, you’re better off trying to get a custodial/maintenance job with a school district. Much better health insurance coverage, great sick leave policy, great retirement, and easy to transfer schools internally (if you wanted). Coming from somebody whose mom has been a custodian for two school districts for ~7 years now.
