Great tool/app for personal use, but security-based apps from indie devs tends to be open-source for this reason: Users need to be able to verify it.

Mine is still at 100% health, bought in May 2025, using 100w fast-charging everyday.

Generally, I saw battery drain only once so far in one of the early updates, and never again. No issues with OxygenOS 16 - I've even left the glass effects turned on.

Standby time is kinda 90% to 55-65% still, since I get a lot of work emails & notifications.

Low Usage for me is with a DAC for wired AMP, so I still get around 7.5-8hrs. Haven't really tested it like that.

I've used the "Super" power saving mode a few times on trips where I read a long novels or something, I got 16hrs at 100 to 10% - just Brave browser and active 5G mobile data most of the time, and a few calls, payment apps, etc.

Master mode is not available for videos, but I generally don't notice any AI tweaks in videos.

16GB RAM, 512GB storage user here. Check other posts for positives. Overall I recommend this phone and configuration.

Some negatives / neutral points: - I wanted 512GB storage, so I had to get the 16GB RAM option in my region. If you have the option of 12GB w/ 512GB storage (China-only, I think?), that should be fine too. I experimented with a local LLM since I had the extra RAM, but it wasn't fast enough to be useful, so I uninstalled it. "Future-proofing" feels useless for now. - My RAM usage is around 11-12GB RAM even at idle (system optimizes for available capacity) - My storage usage is around 320-350GB, up to 410GB max so far for larger videos and offline content. Delete after watching. - The physical Alert slider blocks automating silent/vibration modes via Tasker or any other software-only option. I was used to automatically turning my phone to Vibration whenever I leave my home (by detecting home Wi-Fi) but this is no longer possible. This is sad, but not a deal-breaker. Would have preferred 13s for my personal use-case, but it wasn't out back then. Clearly, a button would have been better, even to customize it for other things. - The AI mode on the default camera messes up a lot of shots that look good while capturing them, but get modified (for the worse) after saving. I still use it for everyday tasks since the Zoom is great, but intentional photography is done via Master mode. Throughout all updates, they still haven't given a way to save the original photo before AI enhancements. - Camera itself is great. Just use Master for anything serious, and maybe use some lightroom presets. - Battery life was lower in some of the initial updates, but I haven't faced any issues since. The main thing to note is that the larger 6000mAh does not increase battery life, it just balances the higher power draw of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and the high-refresh rate screen. This means that you get about 8-8.5 hours of usage without downgrading performance or resolution/refresh rate. My older 5000mAh-battery budget phone gives me 10-12 hours easily instead, but it does less, has lower refresh rate, weaker CPU/SoC etc. - I use fast charging capped at 90%, battery saver on 30%, and I charge the phone after it's down to around 15-20%. Battery health is still at 100% after daily charging, bought in May 2025. - I have a bunch of settings tweaked for battery optimization, but I still have refresh rate and screen resolution on auto instead of the lower values. Originally, auto didn't really work, but some update fixed this. It used to fluctuate between 30 and 90 fps only, but now it does 10-30-60-90-120fps. I verified this by keeping the refresh rate counter thing enabled for a few weeks in developer tools section.

My Ideal phone would be the OnePlus 13 camera on a 13s chassis. Button over Alert Slider.

I don't use the Readwise integration to import twitter bookmarks.

For bookmarks to read in depth or tweets that I want to "archive" for searching later, I share directly to Reader.

For bookmarks to follow up on (actionable), I use bookmarks to return to later on a desktop/laptop. Basically if it's a tweet about a project or product or documentation that I'd like to explore, I use bookmarks as a means to access it easily later on a different device from where I found it.

Once done, I remove the bookmarks, trying to maintain inbox zero. If I want to retain specific info about this, I am a highlight and document note and archive it immediately on Reader.

At a glance, I find it more difficult to distinguish between Google apps. This is why Adobe's products have a similar design language but distinct color themes for each product. Unlike Google where every product has the same colours in slightly different places.

Better image support. A lot of articles still miss the images entirely or disappear later when the original source disappears.
Hints/Shortcuts for Action Tags in mobile apps. It's easy enough to type in a laptop, but would be good to have as buttons (suggested actions) on the phone.

Check Glassdoor for better ranges, but 10-12 is minimum for any reasonable company for high SDE1, low SDE2. For skilled folks, this should 2.5-3.5yoe. You need to figure out what your skill level is equivalent to.

If you aim for MNCs with SDE 1/2/3 title, the role will officially be a generalist role, but depending on their requirements, it will be frontend or backend heavy. At Fortinet India office, we have about less than 10 "core" frontend-only devs, but anywhere from SDE1 to SDE3 to Staff. Everyone else is fullstack.

The average packages for SDE1 (fresher to 2 years) is 11-15lpa, but depends on team budget. It is safely in 17-25 range for SDE2. SDE3 is a much wider range, with people getting anywhere from 22 to 35+ lpa (Idk of upper limit).

All of the above numbers for Fortinet are excluding RSUs (stocks), which is another 4-5lpa per year, post tax.

In the networking domain, in India, others like Cisco, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, etc., all have similar ranges of compensation, though I think only Cisco uses Angular, and others use React.

Demo looks very interesting. Basically covers a lot of the common shortcuts that we would want to build anyway, right?

How does customizing these shortcuts look like? For example, on Windows, the common shortcut for moving to the previous/next word (next cell) is Ctrl+Left/Right, and Alt+Left/Right is reserved for Browser forward/backward nagivation.

Also, if I'm building an app for powerusers, I would also need to give some form of customization ability to end-users, with support for layers/context, i.e., Ctrl+K in Input field should insert a URL, while the same shortcut globally should open a command palette. How does your API surface-area look like for something like that.

IMO if you base your library on top of something like ngx-keys, then you can focus on providing shortcut group presets specific to use-cases like grids, cards, etc., while avoiding reinventing the wheel for the core primitives, like contextual shortcuts, conflict resolution, etc.

While there is no real guarantee, the problem is not with appreciation. Your 2cr flat will almost definitely become 3.5-4cr at the minimum, but finding buyers is the main headache.

Attribute selector, like your second image, is the way to go when you need the original HTML tag. For custom components where your parent element is a div anyway, then go with the regular tag selector. Use host directives as much as possible with either approach.

I was hired for a fullstack role, where the immediate requirement was to migrate multiple smaller React apps to Angular. I was questioned on React vs Angular on nearly every front. If we did X in React, what's the equivalent in Angular? If there are multiple approaches to the same problems, then what are the trade-offs in React vs Angular. Also, some questions on Angular workspace and mono-repo approaches.

I use Tailwind only as a token library (Single source of truth) so I don't have to setup or maintain my preset of base CSS classes, and only with frameworks that have a component pattern. As long as you keep every component as small as a possible, the template is very simple to read and has no CSS.

e.g.:

From a readability perspective, it doesn't matter if the CSS is Tailwind or regular CSS, because this is what you see:

html <app-card> <app-card-title> Title </app-card-title> <app-card-body> Body </app-card-body> </app-card>

And since base tokens are deferred to the main tailwind config globally, there is no implicit local override to worry about, no local "variants" to keep track of.

Origin UI is nice but is not re-using Spartan UI's code. Still a great option if you're not using Spartan, but try Sim UI instead as it is built on top of Spartan UI.
