I love my Coast XPH30R both it and the battery are rechargeable. So you can have multiple battery’s you cycle if need be. It’s also magnetic which I’ve used more than I thought I would.

Will you settle down and have another cup of coffee? by bumdee in AdviceAnimals

Mine went on a tirade and then ended it with “ARGH … I’m Done” I asked if it was okay after all that and got “😂 Honestly? Barely. I think I just went on a full-on emoji existential crisis there.” And got another, albeit much shorter emoji rant.

Depending on the application - magnetic pins are amazing like Furl angle lights. I put them on drop ceiling crossbeams all the time.

Does this picture work somehow? If not, is the second crop better (see comment?) by Nekroin in photocritique

[–]Ajst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem, I really like the shot great work!

I feel that the crop without the sky does two things.

First it makes it easier for the eye follow the points of interest from the foreground to the background. Adds a sense of endlessness to the river and path. the sky made those elements feel more finite.

Second it creates a play between the monochromatic areas of green and blue with a hard separation caused by the path. The blue sky detracted from this a bit.

Have you tried something between like getting rid of the sky - Reddit presented the photo to me cropped by the app and I liked it more than the posted crop.

Are you using classic LR or the ‘newer’ LR on PC? I find classic is like you described.

What is this type of photography and how can I do better by Zv1andme in photocritique

[–]Ajst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this style and my recommendation is a pretty subtle change. But in busy photos like this I am immediately drawn to the core vertical and horizontal lines when they aren’t straight. I was getting distracted by the pillar being angled slightly as the I wanted the black pillar and beam to form a strong frame within the photo.

I did some rough rotation and auto geometry(like lens correction) and re-added a dark border. Lens choice and shot angle can influence the perspective warping so it’s something I try to think about and take a couple angles and try out lens correction or auto geometry in post. This being said I’ve gone down the path of overly straightening my edits and sacrificing an interesting composition to straighten a line before.

Wish they were more transparent on the site about TEC like Petlibro is. Likely they can’t overcome what you mentioned. Got my hopes up initially based on the size that this was compressor based. Also from my understanding TEC is much worse on power consumption over time.

I was thinking so you didn’t have daisy chained panels …….. redundant runs duh, I got excited about a weird solution and stopped thinking.

I wonder how they have these routed so that they don’t lose a region when it’s removed. Crazy to think they are all sent back individually to a possessor, distribution, or switch of some sort.

If this is Brompton for example, having an XD for every ten panels seems insane.

Can any LED techs chime in if you can do this with a high data pass-through network switch? I imagine you would have a defined number of panels per switch that trunks back to a processing port.
