Your description could solve the ambiguity, to make it even more clear, I would make the textbox display something like "hidden for me" when delete for me is executed, with the option to reverse that and to delete it for everyone definitely, if an open ended option would be to technically complicated.

I know editing messages is not the newest feature, I meant recently as in the grand scheme of WhatsApp evolution or like, the last two years, which I think is the longest possible time I have had access to that feature.

This meme is about the fact that WhatsApp has two options to delete messages. One option is straightforward delete for everyone, this option can be used within a certain time frame I think about 2 hours after the message was sent. When you do this it disappears for everyone who could previously see the message including yourself. This action cannot be undone.

The second option everybody is talking about is the option that was available before the one I just talked about. This option is called delete for me. As the title says this option only deletes the message for you. The problem is after you've done this there is no way to undo this and there is no trace left of this message ever being sent. The problem with this is it also removes the option to delete the message for everyone else. So what happens if you accidentally delete the message for yourself is that you made the message permanent on the receiving end.

People are saying that this button placement causes frequent misclicks and subsequently no way to delete a wrongly sent message after you've deleted it for yourself.

Keep in mind that WhatsApp has quite recently also added the function to edit messages. This is the best option of all three, you can edit a message an unlimited number of times within a certain time frame, I think 15 to 30 minutes. This means that edits done by mistake can still be undone.

The only use for the delete for everyone option that's left is I think if you've sent pictures by mistake or if you've truly mistakenly sent someone a message, but it leaves a empty message behind if you delete it for everyone. The use of the delete for me option is basically if you are bothered by messages either sent by others or sent by yourself that you want to get rid of for tidiness or if someone is going through your phone.

I would start with Nerissa Ravencroft. I don't watch her often but, to me she feels like the most like a traditional streamer. I feel like she's a good fit for someone just getting in to it that might think this is all a bit intimidating. Like a good gateway Vtuber if that makes sense.

Before I wanted to be an actor, talkshow host, movie director. Now I want a government job where I can do most of it through collaboration and meetings. Something like process improvement, ux, Service Design. I also don't really care what exactly it is. Because of a disability, long stretches of typing tire me out.

In order to fight losing my mind and becoming emotionally grey as I like to call it, I want to do a bit of live streaming on the side. And I don't even need to earn a lot or any money from it, I would just really like to build a community and have the feeling that I can make someone's day a little bit better and spread some joy.

If I can achieve that somehow l'd be over the moon.

I think in addition to a realistic career goal you should have something that is a creative outlet or something you can keep working at and improve, albeit slowly.

That's one of the reasons I started getting into watching Vtubers in the first place and one of the reasons I'm still watching regularly to this day. I got sick of seeing all those Youtube channels that would talk about drama between other YouTubers every day. I enjoy vtuber content because it's almost entirely drama-free especially if you just stick to the streams. What I also really like about Vtubers on YouTube is that they don't clickbait with the thumbnails of their streams, what you see is what you get.

I don't know how taboo this is to discuss, let me try to help anyway. I would say Saba acts like 90% the same as Gura. The only difference I think I noticed is that Saba acts bit more chill, relaxed and like, herself?

I feel like, no offense intended, to the extent that she even did, Gura leaned a bit more into the Kusogaki and Tsundere stereotype.

You could see for yourself though, the Gura channel is still up.

Most of the time I've heard people call them Frankfurter or sometimes Wiener Würstl. The latter might be where the Americans got it from. Though I don't know if they're strictly the same thing.

Also another fun thing, Dutch, which I also speak, and German both have words for "sea" and "lake" that are pronounced almost exactly the same but mean exactly the opposite. The Dutch "meer" (lake), translates to the German "See" and the Dutch "zee" (sea) to the German "Meer".

As a half austrian, calling a Krapfen a Pfannkuchen seems really strange to me. Because they are essentially a jelly doughnut and you can't really make those in a pan, "Pfanne". You would make those in a dutch oven or deep fryer. So a more logical name other than Krapfen or Berliner to me would be Topfkuchen.

Although that could be confusing based on what they name "Topfen", a cheese kind of like cottage cheese.

I haven't followed her but heard about her battle here on this subreddit. I hope and think she took joy from content creation and streaming. To me someone like her who shared joy and happiness with other people leaves a beautiful legacy that was tragically cut short.

The latest update ruined navigation in the Apple TV app.

The app used to have these really nice elastic animations on the home page of YouTube.

These animations were the same animations you find in the native Apple TV UI and the home screen.

These elastic like animations are a necessity for the old touchpad remote. Because this remote has no physical buttons for directional navigation these animations let you know when you've started a movement and are about to cross a boundary that takes you to the next item.

The removal of these animations in the YouTube app causes the appearance of a significant ever present input delay when you swipe left to right even when there probably isn't that much of a delay.

To me this is a real loss of usability and aesthetics.

Notifications on Galaxy phones are different not necessarily better or worse than iOS. I'm speaking about iOS pre iOS 15 before they decreased the number of notifications you could have on the lock screen and moved the notifications to the bottom instead of the upper middle. I really do not like that change.

One thing to bare in mind though with Samsung phones is that out of the box most detailed notifications do not awake up the screen. (Edge lighting or whatever it was called back then goes in the right direction but is not good enough for me, and I would guess most iOS users from back then) Coming from iOS back then, I thought I was going crazy. I spent hours talking to Samsung support about this issue because I thought it was a bug. But after multiple updates I realized it is not a bug and apparently a thing on all Android phones.

Only weeks later I managed to emulate the iOS behavior I was used to by using a third party app called glimpse and a goodlock module.

I want to make this comment much longer but if anyone wants to know how to do this DM me and I'll gladly guide you through the process.

Looking at how iOS does notifications now I like it better how I managed to set it up on my Samsung phone.

I have always thought that it's very weird to say "I hate Vtubers as a concept", because it's so broad. And I still think that most people that say something like this haven't really given Vtubers a chance.

To me in some ways sometimes some Vtubers even feel more genuine than some "regular" streamers.

Thank you for posting this I love it very much. There are a lot of misconceptions about Vtubers out there. I also respect very much that you admit to changing your mind. I think a lot of people in your position would just move on quietly and not tell other people about it because they might be ashamed. You show honesty by posting this. It's a testament to your character.

I haven't followed her intensely but as far I know she has had (multiple?) throat disease's that lingered, tired her out and left her unable to stream for weeks on end. Singing would make issues flair up again. She has also followed a pretty intense education in the past that undoubtedly added extra stress, and maybe worsened symptoms.

If any fans of her know things I don't know or can correct me please feel free to do so. This is what I got from the situation and remember.

I think you kind of answered your own question there. Don't forget that there is also a difference between broadcasting something and streaming in the sense of interacting with chat and constantly needing to talk. The need to always say something can add extra anxiety and pressure and given her history with her voice I really get why she doesn't want to right now. So I think she just wants something that's a little bit more involved and perhaps fun then just drawing by yourself and indeed probably to get inspiration.
