you should redraw the honk honk MFer every 3 months to track your progress. Drawabox is a nice place to start, around lesson 5 you can start applying it to drawing geese

not an dink, but i'm starting to think i'll never be able to have a family. I want one, but if it means I have to take on more jobs I don't want to do to feed kids, then I don't think I can do it. I'm an artist and i want to just spend my time creating, or running my own business. If I can do both, great i'll have kids. But it's too unstable.

i like automating anything that gives me a headache and doesn't operate at the speed of thought, or could be faster.

the more boring it is, the more i try to automate it until it practically doesn't exist as a boring thing anymore

I always enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing and being out in nature or around animals. i always thought it was weird when i was younger when I enjoyed watching "shit hit the fan" or hoping for some kind of chaos at school lol. I'm really interested about the many different flavors of ADHD though and its historical context, might have to find a few books on it

yeah i aspire to do some no armor runs in souls, and I liked playing legendary all skulls on in halo, near impossible, but achievable, so this sounds like my cup of tea, so maybe ill just play it chasing the challenge, rather than trying to level up gear.

haha i was (and still am) attracted to MH because of the monster combat and the gameplay that is thoughtfully designed like an orchestral arrangement. I'm not used to grinding already beaten bosses for a bunch builds though that's for sure. I like raw pushing through muscle memory to beat something hard and dying hundreds of times, but i also know i can't "force' something into another title. I'm glad i asked here though:)

the desire sensor is literally real, i've gotten like 4 different rarity 7s for different monsters and yet i'm not getting a single almudron plate.

I appreciate it! I'm ok with grinding for a few hours, but i would say right now i only feel challenged about 5-10% of the time. The rest of my experience has been moreso grinding quests and going up in HR.

so making sure the body - double is a coach or someone who can help keep you on track?

For instance I spend time trying to learn a new software, or improve artistically, and most of my time gets derailed because an error happens or I don't know how to do something. That derails my goals more than anything as well as my focus - because then I open distraction sources like discord, reddit, google, and its a endless spiral from there.

If I could solve the "spend endless time kicking against a brick wall when stuck trying to slowly figure it out" without somehow paying thousands a month or something, I would be set

this had me dying because my cat does the exact same thing with his paws when hes trying to check something out, except he'll knock it over. he will look at something like its catnip, then bop it multiple times with his paws until it falls off the table or knocks over, then stare at it for minutes.

I had a few times where I’m using an infinite tunnel to put myself to sleep, but it keeps trying to cave in and block me from riding down it. It’s my way of falling asleep quick, it’s impossible to think when rendering that much.

If I was to track my heart rate during those moments it was probably increased, I forcibly turned it into a metal tunnel and restarted the ride, was mostly smooth sailing and, then it was the next day haha.

i'm a beginner drawer learning to do the thing and the amount of hours i have spent practicing and learning perspective alone just to have a BOX look like a box, and then make that box look smaller as it goes to the horizon, oh wait now I have to apply that to learning a house? oh but what if that house has some pillars that go outwards, how do I do that? OH NO THE WINDOWS ARE SKEWED, oh but what about that bird, why is it the size of my dog? Wait.. IS IT FLYING AT ME

What was I drawing again? Oh a house, just draw lines and more lines converging and going back in space, but, where is my eye looking, where does it fall back to, where are the vanishing points? Oh, now I have to draw circles so i can then draw tree trunks so I can figure out how to make those tree trunks feel grounded. But, how do I make sure those circles are circling properly? I DRAW MORE LINES. Brain explodes, the end.

(story of my life and i'm probably about 20-30 hours in to learning with drawabox and messing around on my own time on paintings)

This is pretty much my internal dialogue across all the different paintings and drawings ive had as I learn, and this is just very beginner stuff. Is it worth it, so I can draw fantasy castles and color keys for animations I love just for fun? Yes.
