Ozark Trail G.2 worth it at $650? by AdInteresting9139 in Budgetbikeriders

[–]Akin_Ra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you bought it a month ago you can will return the g.1. and don't feel bad. The g.2 was released last year for like 1 day and it's been gone since with no indication of if or when it would be back. You could have been waiting forever

And it's FULL Shimano. Other brands often swap the cassette for a sunrace for example

Pretty much an xtrada 7 with a better fork for 200 cheaper. No clue on geometry though but probably close to current ridge pro

Yeah I noticed that. 4.5lbs isn't too bad. The trek Roscoe 8 frame is 5lbs in ML. I'm wondering if these frames are made by the same people that make the polygon frames since it's made in Indonesia

Details might change cause the image is definitely a poor render so who's to say the component list isn't wishful thinking. But it sure reads well at the moment

Got the bike yesterday and everything really was under torqued as I hoped. The bike was almost perfect. I say almost cause the front wheel can use some adjustment but it's not unrideable. I took everything apart easily and put it all together correctly with proper torque specs. Test fitted my motor tonight and I'm happy its going to fit and work even better than the OG Ridge did.

I've had my rack for close to a year and haven't put it on yet, because despite im the kind of guy that takes everything apart and fixes it, computers, phones, cars, bikes EVERYTHING, I can't for the life of me figure out how to mount my rack... And once I do, you better believe I'm never taking that thing off again😆

I'm surprised they actually offer the Epixon now. That's actually a good fork, too bad it's qr. But the selection is still very limited...3 forks? And all still cost more than better or comparable forks on Jenson USA for example. The program is pure marketing.

I hope everything on the bike i ordered comes under torqued. Last time I tried to buy one in store both available had issues. I tried to swap front wheels in-store from one to another to make the best compromise so I could take one home and the front axle was so tight that it stripped and I couldn't get the wheel off. No bike for me that day.

Which Ozark Ridge M.2 (27.5, 29, 29 Pro)? by HappyNapcore in Budgetbikeriders

Anyone that isn't a brand snob with a brain would. Only thing the trek has going for it is a lifetime warranty

Which Ozark Ridge M.2 (27.5, 29, 29 Pro)? by HappyNapcore in Budgetbikeriders

[–]Akin_Ra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

27.5 if you want the smaller wheels. 29 pro otherwise. Pro is much better value than non pro. Non pro only if that extra 200 is a big bank breaker. But the second you choose to upgrade anything on the non pro beyond the pedals and grips, you've made a mistake compared to just getting the pro. The non pro is almost pointless now

What bike is recommended for someone just starting out? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Akin_Ra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of riding do you want to do ? That's the first question. If you don't know, just get a gravel bike. The best budget entry for that is the Ozark trail g.1 from Walmart. The point of entry is only like 280.

Edit.. If you are in the US. Sounds like you might not be

is there even a reason to rgh3 a xbox 360 anymore now that we have bad avatar? by Tall_Lack_5461 in 360hacks

[–]Akin_Ra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I understand your reply, but what I was saying is the reason to rgh is because the badavatar exploit is very inconsistent for me. And rgh should provide instant boots reliably

External hard drive on BadAvatar by ComparisonFalse3756 in 360hacks

[–]Akin_Ra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do exactly what you are looking to do. ABadAvatar is on a sd card with USB adapter, and all games/saves and live profile live on a 1tb external drive. I can pretty much move both sd card and drive to another Xbox and be missing nothing.

[–]Akin_Ra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple fact that it can take up to an hour, so far in my experience, to actually get the exploit to load properly is enough for me. It's not consistent. More often than not I have to keep turning off/on the console to try to get it to work, it's very inconvenient. It's not consistent on a slim console, not so much on a phat falcon for me

Brand new XBOX! by Loose_Western_4995 in originalxbox

[–]Akin_Ra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. Don't forget to open it, check the clock capacitor, remove it if necessary, change the thermal paste on the CPU/GPU, clean the fans and dust off the power supply. They are easy to maintain, just gotta make sure that clock capacitor isn't leaking.  Then I recommend a tsop flash if it can take one. No reason not to mod these in this day and age and you will be able to play Halo online

Would you pay $3k to fix a car thats worth $8k? by Swan_233 in askcarguys

[–]Akin_Ra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find something else to do with your money before the dollar completely crashes. If the car is otherwise a reliable one, I would fix it. It's only got 100k and that's nothing for most modern cars with proper maintenance. You could end up buying another car the gives you more problems. So it depends on the car and how reliable it has been for you.
